I know not all shooters have half empty reload animations. But, I wonder why some game designers go to the effort of only giving them to pistols and nothing else. I first noticed this in Half-Life and Medal of Honor Pacific assault.

Non-gun people often don't understand firearm basics like the concept of one in the chamber, bolt positions, and the fact that a striker-fire gun won't keep clicking on empty. Most game devs live in cities and probably either don't shoot regularly, or never have.

Would be nice to see them at least try something different. Plus, the Cold War is perfect and they could tie the story into the very real conspiracy theories that Hitler didn't die and was being protected in South America

I definitely would not want to go back to WWII, and when that does happen it’s typically after 5 or 6 games in a row that are all modern or future settings. The same thing happens when you get that many WWII games. WWII is a dead setting for FPS games. It’s been beaten to death lmao Also what does “I’m in the CoD and Battlefield fandoms” even mean? 90% of the planet is in those fandoms, it’s not an exclusive thing

Hey WFG, first off I just wanted to say that I really enjoy your content. Are you planning to do more slow-mo weapon showcases? You're essentially the only person who does them, so I really hope that you're planning to continue. Also, Enlisted recently dropped an update that includes a mission editor, allowing you to place down and use any weapon in the game, even ones that normally cost real money or were only available for a limited time - some people have already made maps including all of them. Are you planning to revisit Enlisted and do a full showcase of all these weapons now that they're accessible? At the moment, nobody's gone through and made a full showcase of everything, so there's definitely a demand.

Kind of triggers me that it's 2022 and 2020 but SE5 and Mafia 1 are still getting the M1911 hammer wrong. Really disappointing to see that the most enjoyable single-player TPS experience on the market either has mediocre animations or weird animation mistakes because the devs think people would not notice it and decided not to fix it (even more disappointing to find out that SE4 has the correct animation). Wish there are animation patches for games like this so they won't break the immersion (but that almost means voluntary work for the devs as the patch won't increase sales in any meaningful way).

8x57 sounds not as meaty as other rifle sounds :( i also think they made a mistake on the K98k model. I think the wrist of the stock is too thick, by the receiver tang. maybe it's just a Walnut stock instead of laminated Beech. just looks off.

really weird decision to have a first person camera that zooms out to third when operating the bolt of a bolt-action. it's not like they didn't texture the inside of the gun edit: oh it's because of their horrifically zoomed in first person animations. the bolt would clip into the player's face if they played in first person.

@@simonwoods2169 the RSC wasn’t a prototype, it was mass issued to French troops during WW1, hence its inclusion in this game. 85,000 of the 1917 pattern RSCs were built, only 4,000 1918 patterns, though.
