Bring back the radioman to call in reinforcements along with the alarms. Let the radioman keep calling reinforcements until killed. More enemies and more enemies snipers. More tanks and half tracks. Get rid of the body boxes and bring back the S and trip mines. They need to bring back fight your way to the extraction point after completing the main objective

Yeh, enemy snipers in SE4 were lethal on authentic plus difficulty. They'd pin you down, you had to be very careful when dealing with them. On SE5 they're f@×king useless. Tanks and other armoured vehicles were also much better on SE4 than on SE5. Not enough tanks on SE5. Need more tanks on SE6.

S mines would be welcome. Trip mines are good too, but I wonder if they dropped them because of the dodgy mechanic (often you wouldn't be able to plant them properly)

Yes! It’s pretty much the only location left as well unless they want to do Poland in the beginning or something.

One thing I hope we see in SE6 is an actually climactic final shot. Killing Möller felt like it had no stakes or pressure at all compared to the other endings. Personally, I think something like an assault on a large convoy as the antagonist tries to escape would work well, perhaps with some Target Fuhrer-esque elements with multiple ways to take him out.

I'm not a fan of time limited challenges. Everyone in the series is bad. Stuff like a time based challenge or some sort of boss battle is just bad game design that was only required back in the early days where system resources were very limited. We don't need them any more

I think that rebellion should bring back the little ambushes at the end of missions for example the ghillie sniper squad at the end of kasserine pass, I feel it makes the mission better and exciting

I want them to add the ability to jump into the back of a truck and use it as a vehicle to get deep into the Nazi base. Or use a motobike to break into and attack enemy formations. In general, more interaction with vehicles.

I agree 💯% with that. When I used to play the Battlefield games, that was one of the things I loved, being able to jump in vehicles and use them as required and of course the opportunity to try and blow them up.

Skins/outfits that change how well the enemy is able to spot you: ghillie suit in forested areas would hide you but in urban surroundings you'd stick out better. Would make the whole thing with the skins to have meaning in the game other than just for looks.

I agree 100% what you said and may I suggest this: How a feature where you grab an enemy by interrogating them for Intel or revealing nearby enemies location or something that might aid you in your mission. What ya think ? Also I hope the next SE6 will be in the pacific theater.

What I want to see is cutscenes with your own loadout and character skin. Maybe even voicelines for the other characters.

While the next step for SE6 would be ww2 in the Pacific, keep Karl Fairburn at all costs. I would be happier if SE6 would put a young Karl Fairburn on the ww1 western front to see Karl Fairburn either go to Canada and join a Highlander regiment and fight in 1915-1918 at famous battles and help us see him in his early years and what helped shape him into being the guy we know in ww2. Ultimately it would give us BF1 people another great facet putting together SE with Ww1. It would be a crying shame if they didn't consider undertaking such a righteous endevor, imo.

I honestly couldn't care less about Karl, nor about his 'timeline' lol. He was already a different character entirely in SE1 anyway! 😃

Is Karl that old? I figured Karl was at least in his 20s still? I agree with a Pacific theater set in late 1944-early 1945 before he's sent back into Europe again (events of Sniper Elite V2). Hence, Imperial Japan's presence in Sniper Elite 5 being in close connections with Moller on Operation Kraken. I do agree the next installment should be set in Pacific Theater against Japan. I would like a set of separate chapter stories where you play not only different characters but, has at least 8 story missions of their own. For instance have Monika Grep play in the Eastern Front during the Warsaw Uprising of 1944 aiding the Polish resistance fighters against Nazis & Soviet forces alike. And also story chapters of playing as a Soviet sniper (Male and Female) from early days of Operation Barbarossa for more Eastern Front content. I would like chapter where you also play as a sniper of the axis powers of Wehrmacht &/or Imperial Japanese Army for more single player and co-op content. Instead of sole relying on Invasion mode for that. Or if Rebellion still wants Lieutenant Karl Fairborne in Europe for the next installment after the D-Day landings and beyond the liberation of Paris, France. I recommend having story chapters of Captain Harry Hawker operating in the Pacific Theater instead.

@Spencer, Karl is in his late 30s during ww2, imho, there is no reason Karl couldn't have been in ww1. I have great uncles that served in Seaforth, Cameron and Kings Own Scottish Borderers Highland Regiments that also fought in ww2. They died between 1960-72.

It also needs to be on next gen only. Having it on both next and last gen hardware limits the amount of stuff that can be added into the game.

Did not realize how much I missed Mission Challenges until you pointed it out, but I tend to set my own. Number 2 on your wishlist offers excellent suggestions to enhance replayability. For SE6 I would love to see: Real time dusk/night/dawn/daylight and weather changes. Increased difficulty to obtain weapons and skill upgrades, and make the upgrade more meaningful. (many of the SE5 upgrades are too subtle) A start with nothing selection where you have to scrounge your complete kit from a random insertion location. (crash landing)

Better enemy Ai, like in "Sniper Elite - Berlin 1945". Rebellion, make it almost impossible to mass kill everyone enemy in the mission. This can be done by adding very-very stealthy enemy snipers. They should not be marked by binoculars and wake up if you noisily kill too much regular soldiers or are spotted by more than a few enemies. This stealthy snipers can shoot at Karl from a tiny, inconspicuous gap in the roofs of buildings or very camouflaged shelters.

In the very first 2006 game, of course, I could kill everyone on the level. But on high difficulty, the game really make me fear every enemy. We lost this feeling in next "Sniper Elite" games...

I agree with all your wishlist points. I'm also hoping that the next campaign is set in the South Pacific or South East Asia, and I think Rebellion has given us enough clues in the SE5 Kraken and DLC missions that that is exactly what they have in mind.....🤞 The enemy AI is currently pathetic....I hate to see enemy totally ignore a dead comrade or simply run over their bodies in a vehicle without stopping.

If they set it in the Pacific, it would be the most ideal place to integrate a Camouflage system. Similar to Metal Gear Solid 3, but you can't change camo on the fly. You'd have to swap out your camo at the equipment boxes scattered throughout the map. Imagine sneaking through the underbrush with jungle camo, taking out enemies unaware you are mere feet away from them. Then once you've made it into the enemy base, put on a dark black camo like the sniper elite 5 dlc outfit for Karl. So you can blend in with the shadows even more effectively!

I agree. %100, I think a great way to increase enemy numbers and replay ability would on higher difficulties is to have reinforcements roll in / swap out troops every so often. This could be timed or after a certain number of enemies have been delt with in an area. the new troops being rolled to replace the ones that are already there. IF / WHEN new troops come across an unhidden dead or unconscious body, or the area is empty of troops, Immediately the whole area goes into high alert and stays that way for the rest of the mission. So, if you loiter around too long and/or are sloppy or just like me and like to wipe out an area before moving on you will have a steady resupply of alerted troops coming down on you. And if you decide to cut back across a cleared portion of the map... it may now be manned by troops on higher levels of alertness. This with some of your other ideas like random objectives would totally keep the game interesting and realistic. IMAGINE that you wipe an area out only to learn through intel that you have to re-enter a high alert zone you cleaned out earlier because the new intel says you missed an objective... Now you could make this mode ONLY unlockable on second the playthrough, to keep continuity with the story and timeline, but hey subsequent playthroughs are more about fun and trying new tactics anyway right!!!??? What do you think?? Tell you friends at Rebellion!!!!

Cracking Video BB.. I agree with you 99% but no dogs! - what Reb could also add is having civilians within each map - I mean, tell me one location in WWII where you didn't see any civilians? KF could save the day by saving the Local population from the SS firing squads plus he could get local intel from them. - just my thought.

no particular order 1. Cold War era commy block 2. more dramatic and not all over the place emotional tone 3. yes stats!!!! 4. give players the ability to turn off Karls voice but keep enemies voices on. 5. keep the cut scenes brief 6. ditch the pacifist stuff 7. axis invasion is really cool but the level design suffered because of it.....needs work 8. implement a "Hitman" style of AI where certain enemies will know where other enemies are and where they should be patrolling. basically make some enemies that have a certain "Importance" level. If someones friend disappears, they should be put on alert or go looking for them or ask other enemies if they have seen them. 9. more detail about the living world. 10. Lose focus mode.

You have mentioned it before, but the missions need to have some actual tense endings. Exfiltrating has never been so easy. The enemy should be hunting you down after you blow the sub, or the V2 rockets etc. Agree with this entire list. Big improvements needed for SE6. V2 was the hardest game. Take us back to that.

SE1 is the hardest - it's pretty brutal at Sniper Elite level - really unforgiving! Those hip-firing Soviets are lethal at long range! Tbh I think V2's difficulty was more down to some rather unbalanced (aka unfair) mechanics, and its somewhat janky handling in gunfights. The snipers were, as ever, stupidly fast and accurate. I did like that you had to manage resources more than in SE4 and SE5 though. But the lack of the ability to range your scope, plus the 'on a rail' map design are what make V2 less fun in the replay, for me at least. SE4 nailed the difficulty for me!

@@Nifter71 I haven't played SE1, but yes V2 was seriously tricky with the minimal mines, trip wires, grenades. I didn't mind the map design too much. It's linear but sometimes games can be too open. SE4 is the benchmark for sure but 3 had some great aspects.

sniper elite without karl and without nazis to kill? NO FUCKING THANKS! get rid of invasion mode and focus again on tactical challenging solo and coop gameplay that made the series so great. after sev2 was too much focused on action and se3 too much focused on stealth, imo they found the nearly perfect mix with se4. now se5 is too much focused on invasion mode and casual players - i hate that tbh. guess why there is a much less aggressive ai, the ridiculous non-lethal ammo, no tripmines, hiding in trucks shown in the first gameplay trailer was removed because invaders can't shoot trucks, much more linear maps and too much indoors, easier difficulty, redundant binoculars because of scope tagging and so on... too many compromises to make that mode even possible. the idea of invasion mode is not bad in general, but balancing this mode is nearly impossible without such compromises. besides of that they need to fix a lot of things that worked better in se4. the traversal system or reduced visibility in shadows for example. in se5 these systems are nothing but broken. i also dream about many new features, but first they should to reach se4 level of quality again. covid19 may had an strong impact on se5's development, who knows, but for se6 i expect much more.

They’ll never get rid of Invasion. It will be a core element of the game forever, and rightly so. For all the shortcomings of SE5, Invasion has added a level of excitement that no single player or co-op mode will ever achieve. Battling an equally experienced and determined player in a high stakes game of cat & mouse is thrilling, challenging, sometimes stressful! But yes they absolutely must fix the problem of mismatched games, so BB’s XP league table concept is logical and essential. Apart from that, I agree with everything you said!

​@@BrutalBarracudaeveryone seems to like invasion mode, so it's very likely it will return in se6. just be careful what you wish for. a hardcore difficulty like se3's authentic simply wouldn't work if there's an invader running around. tbh if invasion mode will make it's return in se6 i wouldn't be surprised if they lower the difficulty even more. just a few weeks ago they added an healthbar-assist to the weapon wheel that you can't turn off, even tho it was too easy already...

Snow areas, footprints can be tracked. Online mission to have more than just 2 players, but more players more enemies and a % increase in the menu. Reinforcements called in if you don't end the mission quickly when all soldiers have been killed (if you just explore and walk around. Figherplanes dive bombing if you camp too long waiting for a perfect shot (spotters have greater range on your locations). Gestapo hunters to track you down when having civilians in towns and villages. Large battle scenes to create an atmosphere where you can help the advancing army by covering them.

Maybe a controversial opinion: outfit customization should provide stats bonuses the same way customizing a weapon does. For example: wearing a ghillie could make you less detectable by an NPC but would hinder your movement, or aim stability.

I would love (many, many) more hidden objects to find. I'm one of those that will play a game to death (think, 100% complete RDR2); under the heading of more re-playability, instead of just 2-3 objects per level, searching for 2-3 dozen objects would be great. I loved the collectible cards in SE3... every time I see some playing cards in SE5, I long to check them for collectibles, and finding weapon upgrades, like SE3. Maybe adding "Scout" mode, where you play through an entire level, not killing or immobilizing anyone; instead, you play through marking enemies, and noting important items on the map, getting out clean; then you can play through that map again with your noted and marked map (with the ability to toggle that feature on/off).

As usual I agree with most of your points quite strongly, especially the living world (the missions are so so lifeless sometimes ) and multiplayer mode points. But for me it’s the very basics that need addressing, the things that make it too frustrating to play: Sort the wheel of death out, how many times have I died because of that bloody wheel?!? Grenades don’t follow their arc Character won’t lay down when it clearly should - again more deaths Character glitching after laying a mine Scope being 15 degrees to the right when you scope There are loads of these examples and it just makes the whole experience clunky and ultimately unenjoyable. Admittedly it’s compounded on multiplayer and not so bad in campaign mode but it’s still there and can quite often completely ruin any fluidity it may have. Don’t try too hard to be clever Rebellion, get the soul right, the rest will follow

A great list BB and I especially like the comments about randomness to improve playability. How about extending the dogs section to include NPC civilians and other animals? I’m guessing however it could just make the game non runnable on legacy hardware……. Oh and South Pacific - nah - it’s got to be NW Europe (again!) for me!

Agree with this list for sure although unsure of adding the dogs unless they include sth like distraction using food collected from the area. Would love to have stats back as well as the stones and trip mines. I also miss the sniper report collectibles from SE4. I was very disappointed with the extra bits you pay for with exception of the missions. Love your section on replay-ability (number 2). What I would most like to see is the improved ‘living world’ to make it much more authentic and interesting.

Lots of great ideas there! I particularly like your ideas for different game modes... And I'm 100% with you on your Number One Wish: sniping in SE6 on a 'Hardcore' setting needs to be at least as hard as in SE4. Rebellion nailed a massive game-changing improvement to SE4 by adding the ability to range your rifle, but then they undercut its effect by reducing wind to little more than a minor distraction in SE5. This negatively impacts EVERYTHING. Even the underpopulated maps would no longer feel so underpopulated if sniping was more of a challenge, because every enemy would immediately become more dangerous. Also: Time-bombs. Options for 3 min/5 min timers, or maybe even longer ! We had these in SE1 ffs! But seriously, I think they could really open up distraction as a key weapon, especially in Invasion. Allow enemies the ability to find and defuse the bombs, and you could encourage all kinds of high jinks! Light. WTF is going on with light in this game? Does it matter? Sometimes it feels like shadows make a difference and increase the player's ability to hide from enemies, but it seems inconsistent at best in SE5. Worse, there are numerous instances where you can shoot out a lamp, but its glow remains cast on the walls - which suggests that the light cast is actually just cosmetic... which IMO would be pretty lame in a 'stealth' game. Make light matter! SE4 seemed better there, but for some reason didn't allow Karl to snuff out candles lol 🤔 Disguise/infiltration: This has never been attempted in SE before, at least not properly. In SE1, Karl was disguised as a Nutzee, and this seemed to matter in the opening level, but was then promptly forgotten about, and the Germans he encountered later knew he was an infiltrator... somehow? That's why the SE5 trailer made me very excited! Seeing Karl sneak into Spy Academy in the back of a German truck looked cool as hell, and seemed like a great high risk/high reward strategy, in order to get closer to a target. Perhaps that other non-implemented idea of leaving a trail of footsteps (presumably discoverable) was tied into this idea of infiltration..? Either way, it got junked, which was a real shame. I'd love to have Karl infiltrate... maybe in uniform, and he has to walk (not run) casually in the open, past lots of enemies... maybe he even has to nail a 'salute' action to passing troops, or they get suspicious! Assassins Creed Brotherhood had an 'infiltrate in disguise' episode where you had to enter an enemy camp, and it proved extremely tense - let's get some of that! Bodies: make the finding of bodies matter more. At the moment, it causes a bit of a kerfuffle, and then enemies go back to happily patrolling over their mates' corpses. The discovery of a body could trigger reinforcements, or vehicles, or the locking down of certain entry points to the target. Bodies floating water, or downriver, would be great. And I guess this ties into the point of taking a stealthy approach... Stealth: reward stealth MORE. Much more. Have certain objectives that can only be achieved by stealth. Run 'n' Gunners will always just run and gun away, but the motivation for taking the more stealthy approach in SE5 was somewhat lacking. I mean, I certainly appreciate that you can sneak into the guy's place and poison him... OR... you can just shoot him from afar, with ease. And it wouldn't be be hard to add more motivation e.g. the target will destroy some valuable documents as soon as gunfire is heard within a certain radius - or maybe he'll shoot some prisoners... Finally (for now lol): More interaction with NPCs! I wish Rebellion had taken every penny they spent on making all those cut-scenes in SE5, and instead invested in populating the game's maps with friendly French Resistance / US Ranger NPCs to fight alongside us - like in SE4 with the Italian partisans. When we reached that bridge at the end in Liberation, there was literally NOBODY there - the Rangers we'd met at the start of the map were still presumably back there, with their bad accents. It was a weird, ghostly anticlimax. The end was robbed of any urgency. We had nobody to protect! Imagine Conqueror had ended as you recommended Brutal - with a 'protect the escapee' over-watch mini-mission, as we had in SE3! I'm still replaying that battle with the partisans in Bitanti Village over and over, cos it's fun, and different every time. More of that! And on that note, allow just a little interactivity with the NPCs. SE4 needed an option to at least elicit a few default responses from our buddies, maybe a 'ciao!', 'bella' and 'la morte dei fascisti!' 😄

Oh yeah! Rebellion, please stop with the 'one man, leaving cover, and charging alone' strategy favoured by the Ai in SE5! In SE4, they at least moved from cover to cover. What happened to ANY sense of self-preservation?! I mean, if Karl gets himself stuck up on the roof like in Conqueror, why not have the enemies below actually take cover and wait him out - instead of just periodically leaving cover and running about like chickens waiting to be picked off?! In SE4, spotters were so helpful for stopping Karl from getting too cosey... (Bring back Spotters!) Honestly, in SE6 I just don't want to have the ability to funnel 20 enemies through the same door and keep adding to the pile of bodies. I feel like the enemies were smarter than this in SE4...

Also: disabling a tank or creating a small distraction should cause the crew to investigate with one guy manning the turret MG, and maybe panzergrenadiers or normal infantry covering the tanks and sweeping for the pesky sniper. And we need S-mines and tripwires back. All in all SE 5 is a bit lazy imo.

One thing I like to see change is when you shoot the enemy anywhere they go down not pop back up. We know in reality you get shot anywhere your most likely not getting up. That would help with authenticity of real life in war.

Easier distruton of tanks and vehicles sniper elite 3 was perfect, you could take out the drivers and crew, maybe if you hit a tank a crew member would open top hatch so you can get a granade in.

I agree. SE5 is far too easy. They need to do something about this. Also, great point about the unmanned AA guns. If they were manned, you could be rewarded by taking them out early, as you'd be saving allied planes from being shot down. But taking out the AA's early would bring it's own challenges, as there would still be lots of enemy around to stop you. So it would present you with a dilemma on how you want to tackle the mission. Also, as you say, the AI needs to be much better. The enemy are so dumb. Lastly, I think it would be great to have it set in Norway. Can you imagine the sniping action on all those mountains? It would be awesome. It doesn't matter that it would be 1940. For me, the enemy just HAS to be Nazis!

Totally agree. I live in Norway now and it would be epic location for a game. There's coastal bunkers and Nazi fortifications all over the coast here. The terrain variety from coast to mountains as well as so many amazing historical background events such as Heavy Water, Narvik , Quisling Traitors, commando raids, resistance etc would be absolutely perfect material.

1) What I want to see is how Karl even gets to the mission places, I think there should be something between missions as part of the story with some cut scenes where Karl has to kill some enemies just to even get to all those places. Many adventure action story games have something like that. 2) Karl should be able to hijack vehicles where has only killed the driver and other people inside or on without seriously damaging the vehicle. 3) More 1st person shooter options like iron sights. And get rid of those floating lines showing where the shot is going to go especially on harder levels. The only option for any gun should be iron sights, scope and/or an eagle eye from the player. Combine that with even bigger maps for longer snipes and all the best features from SE games so far and you have yourself a perfect game.

Agreed on every single point you've made, especially dogs and a more developed world, perhaps letting us choose the time of day we run our operations. On the issue of dogs though, it'd be great to add a SERE aspect to the game, given that dogs are infamously difficult to shake off. Two more requests I'd suggest be added is the ability to use only 1 primary and, don't know if this particular mechanic has been present in any other game, I have only played 4, but allowing enemies to be wounded, screaming for help only for their AI buddies to come over and carry them out of harms way ala Far Cry 2 would be nice.

I want to see the panzer tanks and regular armored vehicles from SE4 added back they were just better. Nerf the silenced ammo and silencers there is no reason to use the great sound masking mechanic in SE5 due to these. Would like to see the snipers dens added back as it was cool to get all of them. The Maps in SE6 I would like to see more sniping opportunities at much higher distances with sound masking more frequently as i find the best strat on SE5 is to go arround with a fast silenced wepon and flaten the heads in an instant rather than carefully timing shots to soundmasks. This makes the game feel completely diferent than the older titles. Ether way if rebelian doesent add a Sniper Elite diff Im not gonna buy xD Great Video 👍

Those are all great wishes, but none of these address the issue of why I went back to SE4. That reason is because of no leaderboards, and a level cap of 40. Just is so ridiculous that you max out your character on first playthrough. It took 5 years to hit level 250 for me on SE4, and I still get to see leaderboard progression after that.

I don't care if it was exaggerated, I want the wind back from SEV2 / SE3 / SE4. Not having to adjust for the "realistic" wind in 95% of the shots in SE5 makes the game uninteresting and like all the other FPS games out there.

You could also do a 10 things I don't want to see in SE6 that were in SE5. At number one I would have the stupid push fight mechanic where you can push and shove each other and have no other way to end it than pull a gun and mess them up. Either have a proper hand fighting system that can lead to a conclusion or bin it completely

I agree with everything you want. Here's what I want to see in addition to SE6... 1. Co-op, the option of 2 different insertion points so you can make a 2 pronged attack. 2. Real time weather or options for weather. 3. Option to do missions at night or any time of day or night. 4. Bigger maps or open world like Ghost Recon: Wildlands & Breakpoint. Vehicle use. 5. More content for less money. SE5 had lousy add-on's at a premium price. 6. Play the entire campaign as an axis sniper. Finally... Remaster the original Sniper Elite. Why doesn't Rebellion do this??? They did it for SE 2.

I would love Overwatch to come back! More Overwatch maps! More than two players coop/overwatch would be great too! My friend and I really liked Overwatch in SE4 and SE3, but the lack of maps made us bored with it quick after we both played the different roles on the few maps. I did like Invasion mode but many to most people turned it off and it became hard to find players to invade, and the only ones that had it turned on were the hard core players. I am a very average player and would love to have invaded other average players. But I think many of us turned it off because we didn't want a higher level coming in. Me I mostly had it off because I often would have to pause for real life stuff. So a ranked system in that would be great, or a setting to say only go against certain level players.

I would actually love to see the Sniper Elite series move (slightly) into the future. Like Korea or Vietnam. Maybe have a storyline where you switch back and forth Between Carl and a new young sniping prodigy. They don't get a long but have to work together, each has their own special skills. Carl being more experienced, but the young sniper having better stamina. I would love to see a story where Carl becomes desinfranchised with the idea of fighiting for the same cause, as he sees the conflicts after WWII devolving into something less than what he wants to fight for. Proxy wars being planted conflicts that are fought for money instead of freedom and peace. Maybe he plays both sides, and just tries to end the conflict as soon as possible. Because he sees what war does to good honest men.

Totally agree with Point 10, move to the Pacific War, since there was alot of sniping action as the IJA used sniper alot. Also storyline wise, Sniper Elite 6 could be set after killing Hitler, since the Pacific War ended at least 3 or 4 month after Germany surrender.

The main thing I would like to see is more authenticity in reaction to what happens in the missions when you play through, and more authentic consequences. For example, I did a secondary objective of destroying a radio mast right at the beginning of a mission and the guards carried walking around like nothing happened. There should be more consequences following this such as more active and attentive guards, constantly searching for the rest of the mission, or your main target fleeing to a safe room where they will stay for the duration of the mission. There are definitely missions where the consequences of being detected or leaving traces of your presence should be more severe and so you should be actively encouraged not to be detected. Other missions, like the Saint Nazaire, which feels more like a battlefield the consequences would be less severe. Tools to help you do this, such as bombs with long timers, like up to an hour, or more, can help you get those secondary objectives without compromising your main mission. I would also like to see missions where you act in support of allied troops, so there might be a lot more focus on snipping without the concern of staying incognito.

My immediate off the cuff response is I fully agree with all your points BB. However for a future campaign how about a mission based around the Norwegian campaign? The long and deep fjords covered in snow or in thick woodland would make for an excellent campaign (along with difficulty in finding the enemy, scope glint and camo uniforms across a fjord would be difficult to see with binoculars in winter snow). Destroying the heavy water plants, assassinating key members of the nazi navy staff of the ships (like the Tirpitz) hiding in the fjords, a secret nazi u-boat pen hidden in a fjord, hell even re-role the mission of 633 Squadron to have Carl explode the rocky overhang do destroy some plant facility. As There was a DLC mission in homage for 'Guns of Navarone', could another DLC mission be made in homage to another classic 'Where Eagles Dare' which if done properly could be done exactly like "Totensturm" as a three part mission 1- Planning/ Equipment/ Insertion 2- Transit/ insertion/ Traps 3- Uncover the mission/ evasion/ escape. Each part would have at least three options to choose from giving you an option of 27 choices of how to complete the mission. I;m sure if I were to sit down and think it over I could create a much better plan!

I really don't mind if Rebellion wants to play fast and loose with character timelines. I don't play these games for historical accuracy. One thing with the choices in skins is I would like to see items Karl is wearing effect his stealth ability. Opening up ghillie suits, or other types of camo in your mission loadout, would be a welcome addition in single player.

In terms of setting, what if instead of going to WW2 again, we instead get a Cold War scenario maybe 1946 or even the 1950s or 60s? Maybe something like Karl now working for the CIA and infiltrating parts of East Berlin, Ukraine, Ural Mountains, Korea, or hell maybe even an Operation Unthinkable sort of scenario where WW2 continues after 1945, but this time its against the USSR (I would say though that if it is an alternate history scenario, it'd probably be better to not call it Sniper Elite 6, and instead give it more of a spinoff title). The first Sniper Elite game already frames the WW2 is ending and the Cold War is beginning scenario pretty well and I kinda hoped Rebellion would play into this idea more and give us an early cold war SE game. Although if we are staying in the WW2 timeline, we could go all the way back to the 'Phony War' era in the 1940s instead for the pacific setting as an alternative timeframe.

One thing I'd like is to be able to lob far without looking at the sky. It's annoying to try and launch something far but you're not allowed to see where you're tossing it because you're staring up into the sky. When I go to aim something with a lob arc (bottle/grenade/flare gun/panzerfaust), I should be able to move the arc with the view using left/right. But up/down only moves the arc, not the view. So I can still see what the hell I was aiming for. Put the flare gun back as an equipment piece, not a temp gun. Add it as a third variant in the grenade slot. So irritating to carry it in SE5, though the effect of using it is way cooler in SE5. Just give us mine space and let us stock it with what we want to carry. For example, 6 cargo slots, teller takes 2, shu takes 1, I want to carry 6 shu in survival, so be it. A teller mine is a foot in diameter and 12 lbs. That's 36 lbs of not quiet. It would be interesting to get Carl back to something semi-reasonable, instead of being a mobile armory with a happy hour 6-pack that can hide in 2 foot brush with invisibility. Dogs would be amazing to have. Goldeneye had security cameras, SE should have dogs. And reinforcement squads should always have dogs. It's crazy when the come charging and I just lay in the grass and they walk right by and eventually give up. A dog would follow my movement and eventually call me out, through smell or sound. And dogs could track at you fast. It would be very interesting to have to navigate them. And we'd need to add beef strips or something to the bottle/whistle slot. Lead the dogs away so can sneak past. Make it so you can't melee them, so you'd have to pop a round exposing yourself if a dog gets wind. Hell, staying upwind now becomes more interesting, etc. And the enemy needs to stop giving up, even if only a small patrol stays active. I still think different ammo types would make it more interesting. Take your gun and x rounds of ammo, use it wisely, hope you can find more, or your stuck with the weapons they had. Fix why the party doesn't stay together when changing game lobby (campaignsurvival). I have to keep reinviting my friend when we switch. And get rid of party management at the main menu, since you can't invite (or at least doesn't work) when there. Fix the damn select wheel on XB. Tired of the game saying I've got a mine and then it tosses a grenade.

In one of your videos you explained to us that the reason Rebellion has limited NPC numbers is due to the need for slower, less powerful legacy consoles to be able to play the game. This is an aspect that I think really needs to be looked at hard. It directly contributes to the terrible environmental immersion of some of the maps. Not all of them, but the exceptions are few and far between. SE5 really suffers from a lack of dynamic elements that aren’t directly linked to the mission, but can be triggered to respond to Karl’s actions. Just as you have identified, the kind of routine “going about my business” activity that Karl would be watching from his observation point. The game’s immersion is spoilt by the emptiness created by unmanned checkpoints for example, and as you say the complete lack of activity on artillery and air defences etc. The limiting legacy tech directly affects the living world aspect of your top 10. We need a lot more going on. A lot of players need more powerful machines. It’s a tough balancing act but it needs to be done. One of my biggest gripes that’s related to this problem is the way the game removes bodies and destroyed vehicles when you reload a save, or within the same game when you return back to that side of the map. Destroying a convoy that can be used as cover later, only to find that it’s completely disappeared five minutes later, is extremely unrealistic and irritating. This is directly related to the legacy platform problem.

Yeah. Trapping a body with my last grenade, and then he disappears. And even though a destroyed vehicle in SE4 did eventually disappear, it never used to happen WHILE I WAS LOOKING AT IT... which I've had a few times in SE5.

Sniper Elite 6 has already included features from other popular games such as Assassin’s Creed (the climbing) and Watch Dogs (focus mode and unlocked abilities). Rebellion needs to continue doing this for SE6. They should take some features from a game like Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts mission-wise and some of the gameplay as well. Karl or another protagonist (especially if set later than WW2) needs to have a bigger and more realistic scope and maybe a buddy who’s always there to calculate wind and distance. The aim assist triangle quad thing is too easy generally and should be taken away. There are other ways to make sniping easy but challenging and fun.

maybe 1-5% of players give two !@#$% about multiplayer.... 95% of folks just want a good/great story and great refresh/visuals.... This isnt the type of game to prosper with co-op or multi, sit in a lobby for awhile proves my intent of my statement. Agree that "hardcore" should actually be difficult. Maybe the Wind should be removed from rifles, or added to handguns and secondary weapons which are a "lighter" round and dont get affected.

SE 5 while it has some good moments, on the whole I found it disappointing . Sniper Elite 4 brought me back to the game over and over. Five was dull and predictable, sniping is way too easy even at the hardest levels. My favourite part of SE 4 was solo at authentic, as each level progressed and that enemy sniper was somewhere out there, the adrenaline would really get going. In Sniper Elite 5 someone decided to put white lines around invisible last five alive, ruining the the hunt/hunted feel to the game. Not only that but at a distance you couldn’t tell if the enemy was in front or behind something! I never found a way to turn those outlines off. I really will have to think long and hard about continuing with the series, which is sad because all the games before SE5 where so enjoyable while 5 felt flat.

Here's just an oddball idea, so take it as you will. But I think a game based around the Nazi's (though fictionalized) Nuclear weapons program would be a neat game. Start in Norway alongside Operation Gunnerside, move down to Germany proper, and disable nuclear armed Wunderwaffe. Ranging from the A-4/V2, V1, a bomb, enrichment plants, etc. It would be the last hurah for Europe before moving onto greater things in the Soviet Union or the Pacific.

Ok here is my ideas for future Sniper Elites. I feel the one mistake by Rebellion is that they put actual dates so now there is a time restriction for future games/missions. Should have just left it open. I do believe with the introduction of the Japanese officers in Elite 5 the logical move would be do what Medal Of Honor did and make the Japanese the targets and give people a break from dispatching Nazi's. That would move Karl backward in time to 1942. Trying to remember Elite 3, 4 & 5 take place before 1 & 2. Or they could move on to other wars, but not sure how much interest in the Korean war would be but could do Vietnam & maybe even a Desert Storm or some other modern battle field where say Vietnam is Karl's son & the modern one may be his grandson. Just a thought.

Pretty sure SE4 tracks in game time. Steam PlayStation etc tracks the time the game is open. So sitting at the main menu is all steam needs for the timer to increase.

I agree on the jump to the south pacific. It Would be great. NO on dropping or replacing Karl. As for the timeline, not a big deal for me. Its not a movie where continuity is important. I think a hunting down Nazi’s and secret weapons in South America would also be a good idea and a DLC mission in Argentina to get Hitler.

Rebellion needs a new physics engine for Sniper Elite, better writers, and improved/slightly realistic and non-cartoonish sound design for firearms and explosions. In addition of your list (which i agree with), i wanna see.... - More realistic firearms customization in regards to more grounded cosmetics, choosing different scope reticles for sniper scopes (and leave the choice to remove scopes in the next game), having no out of place COD: Vanguard-esc attachment options. - A more vast arsenal AT LAUNCH that includes firearms from past Sniper Elites like the M1C/D Garand Sniper Elite 3 and 4, the Walther PPK from Sniper Elite 4, thr m1917 Enfield from Sniper Elite 3, or even something new like the BAR, both the M1A1 AND M1928A1 versions of the Thompson, or one of the late-war Sten SMGs. - More variety/choices in grenades. (i.e. Smoke Grenades, Frag Grenades from the U.S., U.K, and former Soviet Union ect), and bring back the Tripwire Trap. - Have your knife be a weapon that you can active wield, as well as even expanding on different choices of combat knifes. - Expand on the Custom Difficulty options. (i.e. having the option minimize both recoil and spread accuracy for secondary weapons and sidearms to make non-sniper gunplay feel more arcade-like, but crack up the Enemy AI and sniper bullet physics difficulties). - First-Person aiming for secondary weapons and sidearms removed. I honestly.hated having to rely on that so much for gunfights, and the third-person to first-person transitions are both ugly and janky AF. - Your choice of aeapon loadout and character/weapon customization show in cutscenes rather than the default presets, even allow the choice/freedom to go into a mission with just a rifle and a sidearm/a SMG snd a sidearm ect, or even go in with NOTHING ans having to procure weapons/equipment on-site. - And finally.....MAKE THE SIZE OF FIREARMS 1:1 WITH THE HUMAN BODY! We are on the fifth game, and the pistols STILL make your hands look so small and are hauling around giant hand cannons.

Small gripe why is there are all the tanks on the map king tigers they were not common and don’t even think they were at nomandy. They have models for panzer 4s just which they used those

Randomness of NPC & location spawning... OMG yes!!! thats so needed Proper Authentic no argument against But one thing I detested was the absence of the tripwire trap in campaigning the shoebox myeh ok it had its uses but why not givvus ALL the trap types plz R in any mode whats the big problem ?? Im sure you couldve given such in SE5 And for Christs sake in SE6 the M1 Garand from the get go !!

The only thing I want in se6… literally the ONLY thing is more populated maps. The 1st mission in the base game has 125-140 enemies. Mission 13 DLC rough landing has 96 and that count is with multiple alarms set off. Why are these maps so empty ? I’m sure I speak for a lot of people when I say we don’t care about the sniper elite story we just want more enemies on the map we’re here for the gameplay.
