It’s 1943 and something is moving in the darkness. Designed by David Thompson and Roger Tankersley, Sniper Elite: The Board Game is a 1-4 player stealth action board game of pushing your luck and predicting your enemy.
One player takes the role of allied sniper Karl Fairburne, while up to three others control squads of German soldiers trying to strike a balance between defending their base and hunting Karl down.
As the sniper, you will keep Karl’s location secret from the other players by tracking your movement on a secret hidden board as you stalk through the shadows towards your objectives. Outnumbered but not outgunned, you must carefully manage your timing, as every shot you take and objective you complete gives the enemy more of the information they need to narrow down your position.
The defenders will have to use a mix of tactical planning and careful insight to track the sniper’s movements and outwit their bluffs; using their miniatures to block paths, guard vulnerable areas, and move in for the kill.
The game also includes solo rules designed by Dávid Turczi and Noralie Lubbers, putting you in command of the sniper while your enemies are controlled by an AI deck. Test your wits against this formidable opponent and see if you can claim a priceless victory for the Allies.

SPOILER ALERT On the final turn when Duncan uses the rock card, he couldn't actually move the soldier deeper into the building as he would not have line of sight to that target. However, he could have moved the soldier onto the same space as the Sniper and then run past, allowing him to run past and complete the objective!

Love how the playthrough clearly shows what cards are played, gives an overview of the map and the sniper position etc. Really well produced! And now going to look how/where to get this game ^^

I'd love to see another playthrough like this. I've looked at other content creator's playthroughs but I love the fact that the sniper is displayed here in this playthrough. It gives such a good sense of how close the defenders came to finding the sniper, which is missing in other videos I've seen.

I have an important question. Was The distraction card used illegally at the end of the game? The card states the enemy must be in line of sight at the end of the movement. I don't think the sniper has L.O.S. from outside the building THROUGH an indoor space. Please clarify for me, thanks! My game just arrived and can't wait to play. I laughed and enjoyed the playthrough

Hi Richmond, It was, but there was a legal move that could have been taken (moving the same soldier onto the Sniper's spot) that would have still meant Duncan won the game! Glad you enjoyed the playthrough!

This is quite possibly the best Hidden Movement game I've ever played. Fury of Dracula, Letters from Whitechapel, Nuns on the Run, Dark is the Night, Garibaldi, the list goes on.

Hi, I just watched quite a few reviews and gameplay of this amazing game. It was sad that I miss the kickstarter. I know it is selling in retail now but I have an issue, I realised the box space are not really quite use efficiently. Specially the expansion and deluxe box. I hope that there is a plan to combine everything together and make it a big box all in version of the game. It will save cost for you as well as shipping as well as make it easier for use gamers to keep and bring the game out for game night. Because if people who like this game, they would want everything this game had offered. Hope you can take my suggestion into consideration.

nope, quiet vs loud movement is tied to spaces only, not movement points.

Just a question. The guy who played as the sniper had two objectives with the same colour suit. I had read in the rules that the two objective cards had to be two different coloured suits (red and black), so that the objectives points are far enough apart. WatchItPlayed had said the same. Is this true?

They have to be from different suits, not different coloured suits - so you can't have two clubs / hearts / spades / diamonds, but could have a heart and a diamond for instance.

Didn’t you use 3 actions on you last turn? Unless I missed something, you used a load out card, moved, and looted your objective.

The loadout card doesn’t count towards your action. You may move, and play one load out card, and take one action (I.e. complete an objective, loot, or shoot). Each of these categories is independent of the others.
