Completely agree that the lack of coop campaign, coop survival, or multiplayer makes this disappointing, along with not being available on PCVR.

Since Meta funded it, I can understand why it's exclusive. I would imagine it'll eventually come out on other headsets, maybe in a year or 2. Personally I'm not the target market. I have the PSVR1 and PSVR2 but never played a single VR game. I got PSVR1 to play SE4 in stereoscopic 3D mode and I bought PSVR2 for when they released SE5 with stereoscopic 3D but then they didn't bother their arses.

I still need to go back and finish the last Sniper Elite vr game. From everything I've been reading, this seems more like DLC than a whole new game.

You bought one then. Surprised by how aesthetically simple it is. Would like to see someone playing it, I can’t imagine how you hold the “rifle” with two controllers, must be quite hard to hold it steady?

Yeah i got the Quest 3 😂 It can be tricky holding the rifle steady, thats probably why they didnt add many long shots.

@@jimsponge1977 haha you arent wrong. I did buy sevr1 again so i dont have to faff around setting up my psvr anymore. I also plan to get medal of honor when it goes on sale. Theres a few other vr titles i want to try out so my Quest 3 wont be a waste of money dont worry lol

I wonder why SE:VR:WW is based on SE4 instead of SE5 🤔 Some scenes look like you're playing slightly modified SE4 campaign maps. It doesn't look like an entirely new game to me.

It's clearly not a new game, as alluded to by Barracuda. It's pretty much just a DLC to the original SEVR which was released in between SE4 and SE5, and the original SEVR used the same assets as SE4

BB Sir.. I did say before, that Reb's VR Winter Warrior seemed to be a commodore 64 game but after watching your video I have moved my position. And with careful consideration I have come to the conclusion that VR Winter Warrior is much more based on a ZX Spectrum game. I have seen and played better looking free games on steam and that's saying something.

Surprising to see just how little progress has been made with vr tech. I'd be embarrassed to release a game that looks like it was made in 1995

Not really. Consider it’s running at a 4K resolution, without the support of external hardware. Just a snapdragon chip with integrated graphics. It’s actually rather impressive! PS5’s struggle to run anything at true 4K, most cheaping out with poor quality upscaling with FSR2. Imagine having one of those strapped to your face. Yes visuals could be better, but that’s the price you pay currently for a completely untethered unit as compact as this. If you want all the graphical bells and whistles, get yourself a PC VR set and hope you’ve got a 3090 or 4000 series GPU to back it up.

That maybe so, but the clue is in the name "virtual reality". It's nothing of the sort. It doesn't even come close, and shouldn't be marketed as such. And yet people are paying hundreds for graphics that look like they came from a pre-school art class.

VR is is still relatively new. Should the tech speed up? Sure but that only rushes poor quality in a new generation. Kind of like smartphones, now they're mobile computers since the first design. Stuff takes time

@@Sidney74 It’s simply an issue of what is possible for standalone units like these. You can add more powerful hardware, but then you have thermal issues with the device getting too hot, which then has compounding effects on battery life. So then you need a bigger battery which affects weight. I think the true issue is people have an unrealistic expectation of what VR can do in these small devices. As I said before. If you want the absolute best graphics and experiences you’ll need to have a PC VR setup. First you’ll need a powerful PC, about £2500. Then you’ll need the VR headset which is about £800-1200 depending on what you get. Then you’ll need external lighthouses for the tracking. It’s a very expensive proposition compared to what this unit achieves for a fraction of the price.

Why is it that the AAA studios are the ones that release the most mediocre vr games? Like you have the ressources? But I guess console limitations... I feel like someone who bought a super expensive racing setup with my vive yet the only games that come out are phone games. Like this is emberassing, look at the gunplay in this and then look at H3VR a game that also runs on the quest, is developed by one dude and has the best VR gunplay preiod. Yet here you just slap rounds into guns, remove full magazines from empty guns that have no colission. This is a game about shooting guns that you hold in your hands that is the game yet it looks like a 2005 third person shooter someone made a first person mod for. And I am not just talking texture quality I know you have to compromise but like compare the ui alone to even that of sniper elite 2.

The last one was pretty terrible, let's be honest. It seems like this is basically DLC for that game. As much as I love the SE series, I won't be picking this up as it seems like they don't really care about it. If this wasn't using the SE licence no one would go near it.

@@BrutalBarracuda True, but my problem with it is it should have an incredible game. They have all of element for a really good game. As you say, the actual sniping is sufficient. Not on the same level as onward or pavlov but reasonable. However, as they have done with the other parts of the franchise, they have focused on the wrong element. The same thing happened with the zombie army series. And, to some extent, 5. Why would a series famous for it's focus on sniping pivot to CQC for most of their encounters. It seemed in each case to be an attempt to bring in a new audience; nothing new in gaming. However, to do so at the expense of what your passionate and loyal fanbase loved about the series is a little disappointing.
