I thought I covered that. Be the squad leader. Use the spot function or "attack here" function from the commo rose. The little sword will give you a range to that point. Otherwise you just have to learn the maps or really look at the flags to help estimate range.

that was a GREAT series, it really helped me learn to be a great sniper, i usually get a kill/death ration of 4:1 which isn't that bad

Dag you did cover the fact that movement is a near instaphail move.. lol. So I guess you covered everything that I could think of aside from the fact that [in most games, not sure about bf2] you can usually tell the approximate distance and angle [area] a shot came from by the direction and distance of the sound of his rifle.. But yeah, thanks for these videos. Its always frustrating trying to figure out how realistically the sniping system is in a game by yourself.. Thanks again.

If your watching for the dust you are doing it right, now it just takes time and practice to learn how much you need to lead the target. Use the information from the last shot to adjust for your next shot. Time and practice.

Stumbled into this series 14 years after the initial release. These are pretty entertaining to watch even though I'm a zoomer who clocked decent hours only into later games like Bf3 and Bf4. this is the most interesting series for a shooter ive watched , great work man wanted to ask u do u play the game sense its in rivive now ? cuz still there is very active community for bf 2 , ive started playing the game again with friends and i think battlefied 2 , 2142 and battlefield 3 are by far the best battlefield games ever made .

i wish there was a sniper server local to me, hard to enjoy sniping when all the servers are fast paced base raping, but still i manage to have fun, one thing i picked up was if you find a great spot enjoy it while it lasts because the enemy will catch on quick on the rifles i think the l96A1is the best overall due to the thin clean crosshairs but in urban and closer ranges semi autos and the .50 i also find to be effective

@ryandpahl actually you see most of the people playing in non ranked servers are the ones with a non legitimate copy of the game and different from the official ranked servers, the non ranked servers have a ranking system of their own which however is only that server side and not truly global For example I have unlocked both the snipers, both Medic guns and the first specops unlock in one non ranked server Then both assault unlocks and the first enginner unlock in another and so on

You said " i havnt found a position where you cant be counter sniped " but i think i have. On Karkand, at the Train Accident Spawn, you look through under the trains wheels, and snipe people, ive tried to get views from the Gatehouse Spawn. Try it out sometime!^^

make sure your playing on ranked servers or the points don't count. That and, back when I was playing, EA servers where often quite slow at updating stats. No idea how bad it may be no
