wow just incredible you're still here. I think somewhere in comments on one of these sniper bf2 tutorial videos got_ya_good (Ryan Pahl) stated he will never ever play BF2 again. I myself am veteran, playing from 2009 but stopped due to life changes, at the time was just a kid but now grown man with life to play with and totally understand what Ryan is saying. But still even today I watch these videos and feel the nostalgia. Sounds and everything, just good memorys.

same works for the tow in karkand going across the bridge, ive takning out many of tanks that way if u miss gio into commander screen and readjust, u can see if u time it right the missle going past or hitting the targe.

Nice vids, thanks to theese i have improoved my long range shots drastically and thats what i like the best, shooting from long range so that the victim dont know where the bullet came from :D

when u are the squad leader u can give squad commands. these commands show a distance of how far away it is.. if they are putting the attack command on the target at like 800m then they can calculat the drop, the pixels is prety much the graphics. one pixle is just a fraction on the screen thats why he aims at the top of their heads. 5-8 would be a millimmeter over thier head or so.... jsut enough to see a space between thier head and the cross hairs.

very informative. I never knew kills could be made from that distance. Only problem with the spotter strategy is you need some1 who is not only good at spotting, but some1 who is cooperative.

@TheShapie95 Actually, the trajectories in games are flatter than real life. Bullet drop is a huge factor that must be compensated for. Most game rifles shoot laser beams. Watch my "Road to Precision" series for some video of what it really looks like.

The bullet drop for all rifles is very similar. You will probably need NO gap at all, just aim at the top of thier head for 150.

Battlefield 2. If you want it, I suggest you to get the complete collection. It comes with Battlefield 2: Special Forces, where you play with like SAS and Spetsnaz and so. The complete collection also has Armored Fury and Euro Force, which basicly just have more maps, vehicles and weapons for BF2. :)

I don't have any experience with a real sniper rifle, but it seems to me that in BF3 the sniper rifle bullets travel more slowly and drop more than I think they would in real life.

Well, one we were sniping on Wake and I was shooting (only got hits) there was a guy watching me and he said "Wow, you must really be good..." and "No way you can shoot all that way".. I don't know if ryan saw it but it was the guy in the BH.

I have the problem that my targets get out of drawing distance at about 300m so I can't see them anymore. Especially on maps like Kubra Dam it's very annoying. Do I have to make the graphics better or is it a common thing?

hey for some reason i have view scale on 100% and stuff but, like i can see infantry up to 250m but farther than that they dissapear, how can i make it to where i can see them the full like 400-500m? all my graphics are on low, and anti-alasing i dont know what that is, but its off

i made myself a graphic wich shows me distances from 0-675m with 25m step, and 0-4mm of compensation with 0,25mm step, it shows how many mm i need to aim above hostile head with l96a1 to have a confirmed hit. TESTED AND WORKS!

The m95 has the lowest drop of all rifles... and theres data out there to support this. Correct me if im wrong.

snipers concentrate on long range shots, actually shooting. the spotter tells the sniper where the target is (range) and other crucial pieces of information, such as windage and or target velocity (ok sure windage isnt that important in BF2) but yea you have a spotter cuz to shoot and to calculate where to shoot is a huge job on long range shots, 2 minds are better than 1
