It's really funny that Noxus' hand in trying to manipulate a Civil War in Demacua backfired horribly. And now Demacia has just become stronger as hatred towards mages is starting to disappear. Still not perfect, but Garen, Lux, Cythria, Jarvan IV and Shyvanna are spearheading Demacia for the better. And now they have giant mechs protecting Demacia; Noxus' greatest assest right now is using blood magic, to revive dead bodies to keep them fighting, and petricite constructs can easily counter that. Also their greatest assassin is kinda falling for Demacia's greatest warrior.

To be fair, demacia has a lot of enemies by just being demacia. Like the whole shit of sylas going on and the whole mage revolution, Imagine if noxus send just talon and katarina to make a strike in demacia while sylas is doing bat shit insane things. I could see Darius seeing his self in Garen if they ever will fight; Garen is basically just a younger Darius. And Darius being 1 of the heads of Noxus might have a pull, added in the fact that Swain's prized assassin also is in love with a Demacian; That just kinda leaves Le Blanc.

@@sam-pletext8352 Not really, they're not particularly against Targon or Freljord; Heck, during the Sylas event, they brought mages from Freljord and asked help on how to deal with the mage rebellion. The biggest enemy of Demacia are Noxians, monsters from the Shadow Isles and demons like Fiddlesticks and Evelynn. Noxus made enemies of everyone, Shurima, Freljord, Bilgewater, Demacia and Ionia.

No, Galio is a special one, made by Durand the legend, others only replicate, but still require knowledge cause they're Durand descendants. Those like Galio need unknow methol to build, so petricite in it self CAN'T just come to life.

He used to absorb so much more bs with his old W, heals were insane with spirit visage, and you could plop it on someone else, get to full in a bush, pop out later and ult. correct me if i'm wrong since lore usually gets retconned nowdays but, wasn't Galio made by not a house but a single man called Doran as evidenced by swain's dialog "whatever secrets he had died with his sculptor"- Swain when he take his soul i can't find it anywhere but i can nearly swear that at some point Galio had a unique voice line for when he bought Doran's shield (before the new items) which referenced the shield being made by his sculptor. i also remember him not being sentient normally but Demacians would carry him around as some sort of battle standard and magic shield into the battlefield, Galio would only awaken during the most brutal of battles but only nearing it's end he'd have enough charge to move and eradicate the Noxian forces then going back to his pedestal leading the survivors to not be believed regarding his sentience. He's also stood guard on the gates of Damacia for a long time from a story there was on his POV where he describes the life of a Demacian boy who grew into a man that was part of the legion carrying him into battle. Galio was at no point constantly awakened he only awoke to constant sentience when Lux was around him.

Noxus is repeating the mistakes which brought about the rune wars which left permanent scars on the land, their leadership abuses magic and uses it to control others. They allows any atrocity to take place as long as it furthers their power. Meanwhile, Jarven 3rd planned on undoing the prejudice against mages and to tone down the power of their own mage seekers since things began to go from suppressing magic to straight up murdering mages. Silas was going to be the last victim since he had plenty of blood on his hands.

It is not perfect nation either with countless cults running around but it is on par with Demacia. For me Noxus is more tolerable because it doesn't try to hide the atrocities and war crimes they've committed. It's not like the nation is purposefully to ruin the land of Runeterra, it's most likely LeBlanc's schemes and the rest of the corrupt Noxus officials.

I don't like being the "umh aktualy" guy, but the reason demacia is located where it is; IS. BECAUSE. OF. PETRICITE. Galio WASN'T what showed the demacians that, the people that ran away from the rune wars and funded demacia came to the pale rocklike forests that you see on Ryze's cinematic, why? Because the mages and the magic was UNABLE to go into the woods, those tree's wood when burnt and processed, gives out petricite. Now the rune wars have NOTHING to do with Noxus's creation, the Empire is A much younger than Demacia (so their origins thorugh the rune wars are not shared) but also B was built upon the fall of Mordekaiser's kingdom as he left behind the inmortal bastion in the now captial city of Noxus. NONE of what is said in this video except for maybe the half truth about Demacia is right in lore. And yes, I'm the soul of the parties.

I have this feeling that it’s the Imperial and rebellion in Star Wars. Demacia being the good guys (but also having their own issues and hypocrisy) and noxus being the bad guy. But maybe Noxus knows something the others don’t, for example they know that the return of mordekaiser is inevitable and if the nations aren’t united, they won’t stand a chance against mordekaiser. So noxus is uniting every nation by force and builds up a huge army to fight against morde. You know, like Darth sidious tried to do that with the empire against the yusan wong.

from what i understand. demacians actually kinda took galio with them in battles and he would just sit there absorbing magic, but if he absorbs enough magic he would come to life kill everybody then eventually go back to being a statue.

The short is a bit incorrect. Galio sits around the city of Demacia, he's not moved around for battles, and the fact that he comes to life when he absorbs enough magic is only known to his creator (originally it was just one sculptor, but lor made a whole family around him).

demacia is the typical lawful-good moral conflict. what happens when following your creed and doing the right thing are two different things? they are not necessarily the good guy, but they are meant to be presented as such. if you do not show them as good guys, you can't make that "not always so good" plot. they are a cliche fantasy theocracy, just without the centralized and imposed religion. in that sense, the demacian religion would be the rejection of magic.

They mostly spent a lot of effort trying to make sure there are no "good guys" in Runeterra. Noxus doesn't discriminate(as long as you can be used). Demacia is a great place to live(as long as you are not a mage).

Well- it's not actually magic though, it only absorbs it and with the sufficient amount can use that magic to come to life. Think of it as a car if you continue fill it with gas it will run and continue to do so as long as the tanks full. That's why when there is no magic around or is being used Galio just stands there, same concept with a car, right? It won't run if the tanks empty.

Usually your shorts are great, but in this one there was almost nothing true lore wise. Demacia was created in a forest with stone trees, which absorbed magic. That was a safe haven from the wars. The material from which the trees were made is petricite, and it's used for the construction of the whole of Demacia, buildings, walls, statues, including Galio. With time and some circumstances the mageseekers were created and started to hunt mages in Demacia, which always was full of them. The Rune wars never split the people in two factions, just a group of them founded Demacia, Noxus is a whole different beast, which if I remember right doesn't have to do anything with the rune wars, they use magic the same way it's used everywhere in Runeterra, and there was no invasion of Noxus in Demacia in which Galio was used.

There is a story either on league universe or in the lore book ( i am pretty sure its in the book ), where it mentions noxus's response to the rune wars. The ancient noxians viewed the rune wars as a failure of the conutries, and their leaders, setting up the idea that noxus needs to conquer its neighbors so that another war on that scale cant happen again. This is actually a great question. The mage seekers are essentially fanatics that hate mages and are lead to believe they cause so much issue and pain. The problem with the organisation however, is that is has been created and cultivated by Leblanc and the blackrose. The organisation exists to tear Demacia apart from within. Think of it like the Church in say, the tudors time, there was simply no one that could question the church BUT the king. Any normal, common, person wouldn't have the strength to fight against it nor would they cause of the information being given was FROM the church. Lux is a sole rebel against the mage seekers who chooses to help the people and keep making people be happy that there is Magic. Sylas was made because of the fanatics and rebels heavily as a terrorist against demacia. So, as a result of it being made and cultivated by the Black Rose, it continues to stay in power and will continue to do so until the good people of Demacia have their eyes opened and changed by, most likely Lux and Garen. If you have read the Lux comics, you would know that the King mysteriously died and it WASN'T the mages. Most likely, it was done by the Blackrose to make sure Jarvan IV hates mages and the civil war continues.
