Last time I saw your comment we couldn't play snooker in Whangarei. Close to a year on and i've played probably around 100 games! Woohoo!
@darktherapy2 жыл бұрын
With shots like shot F, you could use editing to superimpose most of the balls on the table and only have the white, black and the single red you need to cannon as actual real balls on the table. So if you mess up you’ll never have to reposition all the balls.
@khakiichunk2 жыл бұрын
yeah but that's no fun is it! haha
@Breakfromlife2 жыл бұрын
It’s an idea but overall it would be about as difficult as marking the ball’s position with chalk which is what I usually do. If you do that you can get them replaced in seconds I just moan about it for comedy value sometimes

As a excellent snooker player myself ( well in my own mind) i have always taken for granted how easy the professionals make the game look. With your videos attempting to recreate the pro shots it just shows to the likes of myself just how difficult these shots are as you are far better at wielding a cue than most. As professionals these guys have to see the shot and then execute the shot in one attempt.

Given the fact that these pro tables are so well maintained - and heated (so comparitively you're practically trying to replicate razor cuts with a spoon) I think you're quite modest with your accuracy marking, some of these were a deserved 10/10

My 'Shot of the Season' was Ronnie's safety against John Higgins in the World Championship, somewhere towards the end of the match. John 'bounced' his cue on the table before nodding a while in appreciation. Gutted it wasn't included the other week. Great content as always though, cheers! Dean from Lochwinnoch, Scotland.

Edit: Watching this again it really puts it into perspective how many possible outcomes there can be in each attempt of the same shot - and some of these shots are played under a lot of pressure with all of them being precisely what they needed to be. Especially Maguire's shot from 2 nil down in a best of 7. They make it look so easy. Big fan of the channel dude, and, btw, now I only play snooker - you gave me the bug.

Hiya, love your videos and I am an avid snooker player myself, highest break 60. One shot I would love to see you recreate is Mark Kings shot against Barry Hawkins in the penultimate frame of the 2016 Northern Ireland open, when he doubled the final pink, table length, to rest right against the black that was over the pocket, forcing Hawkins to foul the black. Its got to be one of the best shots ever 😀

Would you ever do a video where someone else would set up one of these shots and you go in blind? Have as many attempts to play you're perfect shot and see how it compares to the pros? Videos are awesome and you're extremely talented so it would be cool to compare your thought process with the pros and see if you both come up with the same shot

Why does the table always look shorter and wider on the TV? You seem to have the camera in the same place and have the same amount of peripheral view. Some kind of effect? Or lense?
@SuperSpatman2 жыл бұрын
This is an extremely hard shot .... so, I was disappointed that it took me 7 attempts. You realise that most of us would take over 100 attempts at some of these shots and still not get close? Just sounds odd that you're playing nearly impossible shots but are disappointed that it takes less attempts than Ronnie trying to recreate his own ones. I'd say that any number of attempts under 30 is a win.

For a while, I thought it was more like, 'best shots of the season, top 16 only' - and it is mostly top players, as well as ex-top players, future top players, and Kurt Maflin who somehow finds himself at Q-School next week...Jesus, that's incredible, Holty is just getting old, Martin O'Donnell is like watching paint dry but more boring, but Kurt Maflin was just starting to fulfil his potential...well, anyway, I know your human audience would only really be interested in the top guys so that's fair enough. I'm just stuck on Maflin now. Bloody hell.
