I really appreciate the effort you put into your videos. You are gradually becoming a snooker symbol of your own. Keep up the good work mate.

Imagine if World Snooker would take their "hawkeye" data and publish it in an app where is has all the ball positions and motion paths for a load of shots accessible to you with great accuracy. The app would also use augmented reality to overlay the position of the balls on your table so you can recreate the shots yourself.

@@MidAgeGuitar lol why? It’s not a business idea, it’s simply WST giving away their data. Only WST doesn’t benefit at all, so why on earth would they do it

I still don't get why they haven't already done this with matches, overlaying coloured laser dots on the table showing precisely where the balls were from any chosen point in the match. Not hard to do, yet they still insist on faffing about for ages with the referee being guided by someone looking at a monitor and shouting over to the ref...

The fact that you’ve taken over 10 tries on some of these and that’s just recreating a shot, yet these pros have one go at it and it starts in their heads shows just how good they are. Snooker is by far the most skilful sport out there.

Love your recreation videos and witty commentaries! An idea if the snooker calendar has a break, what about a historic series - recreations of shot of the Championship from the World Champs of decades past.. I saw 1988 on KZbin, I’d love to hear your comments on the players hairstyles and playing styles of the day etc. it could be entertaining. The camera angle is more normal and makes the table look it’s actual size too. I prefer that, the compressed ‘squaring’ of the table on modern TV coverage gives a very distorted view imo

Merry Christmas and thanks for your videos. On Shot M, perhaps Robertson used left hand side, making the cue ball screw almost straight across above the middle pocket, then spin down table off the opposite cushion. I've seen Robertson play similar shots where the power negates the spin off the first cushion but it works as intended off the second. It's also an effective shot in pool, though counter-intuitive and little known.

Snooker table ownership... if the tempteurures constant and used a few times a week or more. How long do they last fresh... why I'm asking is your cushions issue, maybe can u do a video of the maintenance and generally what to expect if u buy one.
@mikebest6342 жыл бұрын
Keep the room temp above 15 degrees at all times ,brush the table after you’ve used it iron and block the table every week .Cloth should last anywhere from one year to two depending on how often it’s used and what type it is .Steel cushions may wear out the cushion cloth slightly quicker than standard wood ones .

You're a good player and even better youtuber but your stroking arm seems to shoot up after every shot. I wonder if you notice this also after watching this video. All the side by side comparisons you can see the pros arm stays down and yours shoots up. It's a small critic that I think will improve your game...

You should stop playing these shots with a cue action like it's an 8-ball pool break off. It's probably ruining the amount of spin and response you're getting.
