You have set up a great channel for Snooker. I have just started to add spins to my cue ball and your videos have proved the most useful. Also, it would be great if you could mention in one of your upcoming videis about wheather it would help your game play by taking breaks or is it all about practising as much as you can? (or practise routine and such) Keep them videos coming. Love from Solukhumbu (home of Mt. Everest), Nepal.
@Breakfromlife4 жыл бұрын
My theory on this is sometimes when you haven’t played in awhile you can come back and just by chance start doing the right thing. I think it’s about 1/4 by what I’ve experienced.

I love your channel! Just a question: @5:30 you hit the cue ball on the right side and the yellow ball goes more toward the right in comparison to the previous straight shot. But in the following explanation, you say that hitting the cue on one side (i.e. on the right) provokes the target ball going much more toward the other side (i.e. the left). What am I missing? Thank you!

Was watching the snooker yesterday and seen two mis-cue's (John Higgins and Mark Selby). It's the first time I've ever seen two mis-cue's in one day in my whole life of watching Snooker. I noticed they were both using that new white chalk too, which is supposed to reduce the chances of things like this. Are we better to just stick with the green stuff? Barry Howard Dunoon, Scotland. Cheers mate.
@potatoman800854 жыл бұрын
white chalk is supposed to reduce kicks, not miscues. just an fyi
@randommadness10214 жыл бұрын
@@potatoman80085 not just kicks. You seen the price of it? I'd be expecting it to carry my cue for me too!!
@potatoman800854 жыл бұрын
@@randommadness1021 well the price is for the composition of it not sticking to the cueball/objectballs/cloth. Which is the cause for kicks
@dnbmania4 жыл бұрын
While it supposedly reduces kicks and it does last longer, many have speculated it actually has less grip making it worse at its primary job. I think this is why Ronnie doesn't nothing with the new stuff
@randommadness10214 жыл бұрын
@@dnbmania Ronnie doesn't believe that kicks are caused by chalk. Watch him today (Monday) and you'll see he almost doesn't get the cue ball cleaned. He beat Ding yesterday with an average shot time around 12/13 seconds per shot and that was on a 25 frame game. I reckon that he'll win the tournament and the cue ball will be cleaned less than 5 times with the green chalk. I seen (I think) Mark Selby using the BLUE chalk!! (Edit): I don't think Ronnie is playing today (Monday 10th August 2020).

Speed is not a variable in the squirt angle / tip deflection. I thought this was the case for years, but many tests have proven that it's not so. It seems so because the CB doesn't swerve back as much. Play soft verses hard against the nap, with a flat cue, and this will become apparent.
