True story….. I was a pregnant LAPD police officer. Back in the day they used to stick as pregnant females on the front desk. That was the real sharp move. I was in my 20s so of course I didn’t speak up they don’t make pregnant or pregnant. Sam Brown. (that is the official name of our utility belts) I was working AM, 10:45pm to 6:15am. I think it was Wednesday or Tuesday night. So it was pretty calm, until a little after 2am when snoop dog came running into the Police Department front door screaming they’re going to kill me. He leaped over the front desk which is about 5’ tall like it was a 6” brick. He hit the floor and kept running passed me and the other prego officer working the dest with me. The man kept running all the way to the Watch Commanders desk where he was tackled by two officers. My partner and I grabbed our 9 mm out of the drawer under the desk. Our desk was approximately 12 feet long. There was approximately five or six computers with backless stools to sit on. Anyways, we grabbed our 9 mm and hit the ground. And we listened. Nothing happened. Nobody came in the station, we didn’t hear any gunshots. I remember licking at our surveillance cameras. I didn’t see anybody, I didn’t see any slow cars driving in front of our front doors. The matter fact I didn’t see any cars moving. But I’ll tell you what I did hear, Snoop Dogg was crying and screaming. He was so afraid. I was told that he was shaking so bad and so full of fear he had urinated his pants. This is when he was rising fast on the charts and becoming very popular. I didn’t listen to that type of music so I really didn’t know who he was. I couldn’t leave the front desk because somebody has to sit there and monitor it and I was about to leave my pregnant partner there by herself. I knew that the officers in the back were taking care of everything, but rumor has it whatever gang he was in they were trying to kill him. Supposedly they shot him a few times. He is a very tiny man. I was absolutely amazed how he flew over the front desk not only is that high but our desk is at least 3 feet wide and he flew over like it was a little red 6 inch brick. I guess if I had gangbanger shooting at me, I would fly over a desk that size as well. It was a big deal. They walked the captain. He came to the station and lieutenant was already there. Commander Watson showed up. we had a bunch of news vans all in front of the police station. The funny thing is is nobody asked me at my partner any questions it sort of felt like they were trying to hide the fact that they had to pregnant females working alone at the front desk. I was seven months pregnant and my partner was eight months pregnant. Not making fun of Snoop Dogg, and I absolutely loved being a police officer/detective. But I didn’t like the department very much and I sure didn’t like the way women were treated. There was a lot of sexual harassment and discrimination and from what I hear it still goes on such a shame. Anyways, I just wanted to share that little story about Snoop Dogg I guess because he was acting so brave being on the plane, but I remember the day that he flew over Hollywood LAPD police station front desk😂😂😂😂😂
