Doggystyle was by far the most anticipated rap album ever. Back then there was no internet or leaks really of when albums were dropping. Snoop had put his stamp on The Chronic so the buzz was crazy. He didn't let us down Doggystyle is a classic.

Fun Fact: I went to college in LongBeach and VIP Records was about a mile away. I used to shop in that shopping strip across the street!! LOL...that place was hawt and you never knew who you would see. Snoop was a regular and Warren G and of cause all the crew of tha Dogg Pound. I also went to college with a girl who I still talk too that got signed under G Funk Records and I have some stories of 93-96. Her group is featured in the movie The Show but her group is called Da 5Footaz and they were on the Set It Off soundtrack. Song is The Heist...check that out. 🤸

This was the first video/radio release off his initial solo album. Dre being the genius (and also doing this with Eminem/new artist) makes sure first song is one saying their name and who they are (“what’s my name/snoop doggy dooooogg” and Em’s “Hi my name is...Slim Shady”) so even after hearing song once u won’t forget who this new artist is. Quarantine and bored up north, so I’m gonna save this for late at night and watch then when bored and trying to go to bed. Be safe down there, it’s close to real crazy up here and prob will be crazy by you in 2-3 weeks
