what i’m seeing here - not just with snoop but with other figures in general - is a realization that they need to go along to get along. it’s entirely self-preservation. they know what type of time this man about to be on. they know how they treat dissidents in russia, china, etc. they don’t want to be audited/investigated/harassed because they didn’t kiss the ring. they could afford to be so flippant 8 years ago. they can’t now. and it’s sad. not because of the ass-kissery. it’s about what this says of the state of our country that popular or powerful figures feel that they must surrender to whatever because of the threat of retaliation if they don’t. edit: before/if i get any comments - i know details are still unclear about where or for whom directly snoop would be performing. these general thoughts are some i’ve had for a minute now, irrespective of snoop, and i’m just choosing to share it now cause it sucks to keep seeing those who we thought were down keep being trump adjacent for seemingly non-altruistic reasons.

The best thing you can do with this situation is to denounce them as hard as you can. Whether it's boycott or simply not buying their shit (figuratively and literally), they will come to realize their choice was truly a poor one. Keep in mind that many of these celebrities, especially artists, were kind of already losing relevance. For many, business is "stable," but I ain't growing. Stagnation is the norm for many of them.
