IKR! 10 kg for a Lurcher.. Her weight just the same as my Beagle 🥺😭
@rondameier81682 жыл бұрын
I have such a soft spot for the smallest ones.... My lil dude Cody was 5lbs when I adopted him.... Highest weight he ever got to was 10lbs, but he stayed at 8lbs for the majority of his 6 years..... The smallest ones are so fragile, more so than bigger dogs.... I love dogs, all of them.... But a special place for the tiniest of them because my Cody was a shelter dog, a tiny one..... I miss him so much that sometimes it's hard to breathe.... Little Rocco/Oscar stole my heart..... I'm so glad that the rottie and staffy found new homes. I think had they been allowed to be in the kennels together the staffy would've been OK.... I mean they were mates at the house they were rescued from, so it's safe to say to be seperated all of a sudden like that would stress them out.... But they finally got their happily ever after. And if the cancer did wind up taking the rottie at least he was in a loving home.... And I do like hearing when people who abuse/neglect dogs/animals that they are banned from owning any for 10 years... That should be the first time offense standard punishment, 10 years. And a second time, should be banned for life. Love this show... Thank you for posting them...
@MsNoPixel2 жыл бұрын
You realize that tons of people get “banned” yet still own animals & most places do nothing about it…
@rondameier81682 жыл бұрын
@@MsNoPixel no really?????????? Considering how low some humans are to animals, like backyard breeders, puppy mills, dog fighting rings, etc etc, I'm not so rainbows and unicorns to think they aren't going to potentially get another animal. I'm way cynical than that, have almost zero faith in humans. But I do know the UK does a pretty decent, but could be better, job of keeping track of these people. I personally think there needs to be a registry that records every single person who is convicted of offenses against animals, that all shelters and rescue organizations have access too. And as much as I despise breeders, if they are registered breeders, they should also have access to it too. But getting that conviction in the first place is a good thing and a good place to start.

Maybe I'm a little strange (or maybe my little bit of Vet Med experience) but I found it INCREDIBLY satisfying watching Sam get his dental done. The POP from his teeth coming out, make me a little happy because they got the teeth all in one piece, so less damage. Plus its better to have the teeth removed now at the start of severe damage, before they start causing jaw issues and worse pain

For anyone wondering why snoopy is being fed small frequent meals, its because with animals that far gone their origins can be in really rough shape and can actually be in origin failure as a last effort to keep the brain and heart going so over loading her with food, in her condition would have actually killed her because her stomach just wouldn't have been equipt to deal with it.

What sort of dog is Snoopy?
@Hextraordinary132 жыл бұрын
Snoopy (later, Lily) is of a breed called a "lurcher." The breed is actually a mixed-breed or "cross" (the term used in the UK & Australia) -- consisting of a greyhound crossed/bred with typically a retriever, collie, or sheepdog. They are often used as hunting dogs by (legal) hunters &, unfortunately, poachers. They're a sweet, kind-hearted breed with a lot of inquisitiveness. Very bright & gentle, too.
