I have a booster for my beagle but due to safety I put him in the back seat. He’s in a harness attached to the booster. He does step out of it occasionally to get some a/c. He gets too warm from the sun. It’s also better for me as a driver not to be distracted.

Great review, thank you. just one thing...air bags are typically in front passenger so the back seat may be a better placement.🐾🙂🐾

I turn off my air bag for the passenger seat when my dog is in front. Many cars have that feature.

You should put your dog in the back seat. More shade and less sun. I found that out the hard way. And I had the air on. Puppy still got overheated.

My dog still gets out of the seat. She moves the strap over to the side of the car seat and just jumps out of it. I'll try the push down installation and see if that helps. Until I saw this review I was going to send it back.

what to do about the ten pounder who wraps the leash around a leg while your driving? i mean idk I finally gave up and just let her stand back there w/o leash

Do you mean the little security strap? If that strap has been getting your little one twisted up, I would suggest possibly keeping your pup in a carrier secured by a seatbelt instead. You definitely want her secured in case an accident occurs.

@@kateschwanke our booster seat is secured by a seatbelt. I have the tether to her harness secured to the seatbelt also. the booster seat has no clip for the tether . i hope that makes sense !

@@kateschwanke I am using a leash as a tether, and wrapping it around a leg is ....disaster waiting to happen for a ten pound dog. I could find a small enough tether carabiner so i used the leash
