Excellent quality. One of the bes SoCal snorkeling videos I've seen ...and I've seen A LOT. The only problem is that it's just too short. I gotta look for a warm high vis day there next Sept/Oct when the water's warms up. No way I'm going in that ice water in mid-winter ...Yikes!

Hi Brad, thank you for the kind comment, I appreciate it. FYI I shot this in Jan and to be fair is wasn't to bad. Chilly yes, but 40 minutes is all it took to have an awesome experience. I did get lucky with the clarity, it can be tough in So Cal to get a good day. A good way to get info is to go onto surf report apps and check the tides, winds and swells it's a great way to pick a window for good viz. Sucks for surfer as you want to pick days with no swell but good for us.

Thanks for the video. I'll have to check it out there. I've been skin diving Topanga and Surfrider. Lots of cool stuff when the viz is good.

Awesome video! Just curious how far you swam out and have you encountered rip currents often?
@countingcoral4 жыл бұрын
Hi there, thanks for commenting on my video, I swam out about 30 yards and yes I have exsperienced rip currents but not on that day. Being an exsperienced surfer I use rips as a way to get out to the surf but using extreme caution when doing so, rips can be quite scary if you've never been in one.

Hey, thank you for the comment. The access is under construction so it been shut for a year now, you can scale down a small cliff but it’s a bit sketchy. It located at the point dome marine reserve.

What camera are you using? It looks so clear!
@countingcoral3 жыл бұрын
Hey, thanks for the question. I'm using a Hero 7 gopro with a done housing. To be fair it was a very good day for clarity.

Do you use a weather report to see if the conditions are flat before you go? Seems hard to find a day that calm.
@countingcoral3 жыл бұрын
It's a good idea to check but in reality it still can be low viz, fortunately I live around here so I can just go and check.

What’s the best parking?
@countingcoral3 жыл бұрын
The parking is horrible. You have to find a side street off of Greyfox rd and walk down. They have just installed some new stairs so that make it a lot easier.

What were the water conditions like?

Great, little chilly but it was January, waters were calm as you can see in the video and viz was good.
