Snorkelling with Hammerhead Sharks at Burleigh

What an EPIC day at Burleigh Heads getting to swim with juvenile hammerhead sharks. We were very cautious not to spook or harass them, so we watched them cruise by below us, or by diving down and waiting for them to pass by us.
What amazed me the most was the amount of marine life here at Burleigh, and the beach was so calm and easy to enter for a snorkel.
Best of all the visibilty was fantastic on the day, allowing us to capture some wonderful shots of the beauty in front of us.

Yeah, I have a habit of finding and not seeing the rays. If you look at the 3:15 mark I landed on top of an even bigger ray that gave me quite a startle 😱😱🤿🤿

Appreciate the comment. I probably won’t go out this Anzac weekend. It sounds like it’s got quite a bit of swell and sweep out there at the moment, and the visibility is meant to be quite poor as well.

Also just watched your vlog on Blue Lagoon. Felt like I was reliving our trip last year to Bali, flying out of Brisbane. How nice is Blue Lagoon. I’ve got a video in my channel from there as well. The snorkel company use my videos on their website now. 🙂🤿

@@georgiepatrikopoulos7068 yeah I was there this morning too. I was in the water for about 30 minutes and seen about 7 or 8 but they just come and go. Sometimes you get a small group of them but a lot of them just swimming in there own. I was there around 6am. I work around the corner so I might see if they are still active around lunchtime as well. They were about 20 meters from the shore which really isn’t far
