joe mar braids exist in many cultures. The Spaniards didn’t make contact with Siberians or Mongolians so they wouldn’t know who else to compare them to.
@joemar2591
@joemar2591 5 жыл бұрын
@@harleyquinn5774 yea nowadays, but who created the braided hair style. Not people with straight hair, that's a fact. Also being a native dosent mean your people originated from here, example my sister is a native New Yorker but she was born in Saint Louis. Native is a modern misnomer.
@tritter15
@tritter15 5 жыл бұрын
joe mar No one created the “braided” hairstyle. There are many different types of braids that originate from various cultures, but braids themselves are pan-cultural. There were braids all over Africa, Europe, Asia, and the Americas. That said, when describing “Native Americans” they’re people with a genetic 9RA marker, something found solely in Native Americans, a small group on the tip of the Bering Peninsula, and mummies/human remains going back thousands of years on the American continents. Black people, white people, AND Asian people were tested for the marker, but no other ethnicity had it, solidifying Native Americans as not only being a unique ethnic group, but having been here for thousands of years. It’s a fascinating subject to research, definitely recommend it.

That’s EXACTLY how I ended up here! Watching season 1 of Resident Alien Ep-4 and this song is played. I’m like “what’s this pleasing arrangement of noises - of similarity to those created by members of the melanated communities?!?” ‼️👍🏾😂 I first look them up on Amazon Music and add a few tracks to my playlist. I then decide to check out a few vids - which lead me to this posting!

@@Contradae I never said that ~I~ can see them. Their numbers are invisible to all. The amount of likes to dislikes affects a comments standing in the comment section - albiet, as said above, invisible. You can tell that it works if you've ever came across a comment with a lot of likes, but it's somehow below a comment with less likes. This means that the one with many likes, also has a shit load of down votes; bumping it lower into the depths of the comment section.

@al red dog Many “Latinos” are actually Native people who’ve had their indigenous heritage taken away from them by the Spaniards through cultural and linguistic genocide and economic coercion. Think 500 years of the Spaniard version of “kill the Indian, spare the man.” 500 years of being forced to make a false, binary choice: Remain Indian, starve and remain poor and have your way of life belittled and become disenfranchised, or become “Hispanicized”, ditch your ancestors in order to feed yourself and your family.
