Snow and ice hit parts of northern England

A blast of icy Arctic air has seen snow blanket parts of Britain, with flurries reported as far south as London, prompting warnings of travel disruption.
After overnight temperatures dropped as low as -6C in Scotland, much of the UK remained in sub-zero conditions on Thursday morning, with the mercury forecast to sit at 0C in St Alban’s, -3C in Derry and and -2C in Glasgow.

Only in the UK can you say " Heavy snow" and not laugh. Ive been in Scandinavia for a few years and this is nothing but we do make a "mountain from a mole hill" in Britain and i was "born and bred" here.

Thats because our councils are absolute shh lol As soon as there is a tiny bit of snow they close everything and everyone crashes their cars because they don't grit the roads. Other countries seem far better prepared for this type of quick change than we do.

Global military power may not be used as a vehicle for humanitarian aid organizations to create international food programs except due to natural disasters, since we have enough of those! War creates mass migrations, trauma, death, disease, or employment for humanitarian aid workers that have other businesses to develop together. Citizens must have financial compensation to protect themselves from such heinous war crimes, but resettlement elsewhere, due to war. If the international community is serious about peace, economic consequences to compensate citizens and punish invasive military aggression must be pursued, otherwise resettlement tensions, mass migrations, or displacement of cultural habituation is the result. In addition war must not be used to facilitate immigration using savage threats to human life. Lawyers must bring a massive class action lawsuit against Russia as punishment for crimes against Ukraine 🇺🇦 citizens
