Yes. That is the main reason that I did it. At the end of the season I start up the blower, shut the gas off and wait for the engine to burn all of the fuel from the carburetor then put it away until next season. Thanks for watching.

Good idea.. used the same shutoff on my old Snapper blower a few years ago.

Cool video. I did the same thing on my Ariens snowblower. They sell a 90 degree fuel shutoff that you can use if you want to clean it up some. That is what I ended up using (and a clear filter). This does remind me... I need to replace my shear pins.

@@Paisteboy although I live 20 miles north of Syracuse I sled the tug too. However, I find southern tier better than the tug but, I doesn't have the snow until January 1st-ish. It'd be great to see u guys up here one day...have a great season.

That's cool. We are always willing to travel and try a new place but we generally stay a close to home as possible to find good riding snow. Last season was a great example of staying closer to home but still great riding conditions. Let me know when the riding is good out your way. Good luck with that style shut off valve. Just installed one exactly the same on my Generator and the second time I turned the valve on it pissed fuel all over the floor.

Still waiting for the new sled. I was told sometime in January. I'm not holding my breath. I registered the Blizzard and it's ready to go. I'll sell the Blizzard after the new sled comes in. The wife is pretty understanding about me going out snowmobiling but that was funny!

Thanks SIN. Yeah. The forecast is looking great. I was talking to Gary earlier and we were talking about possibly going up twice that week. I plan on being up there for Snodeo at the very least.

Unfortunately I was told sometime in January for the new sled so I got the Blizzard ready to go. I think the first ride will be next week in Old Forge.

No. Snodeo is next weekend. December 10th, 11th & 12th. Gary and I will most likely be there Friday and Saturday. Not sure if ant of the other guys are going yet.
