Mr Rickman was everything I'm sure fans of his suspect... committed, professional, passionate and very, very dry! I learnt a great deal about both the writing, and acting process from him. And no - I was astounded that the script even got sent to him - let alone him agreeing to do it. After YEARS of rejection letters, I had no absolutely idea anyone would want to actually try and get this film made! And seeing the first rushes was - as you say - awesome. x

Thank you very much for the video. "Snow Cake" is a very lovely and moving film, it's the kind of film that make us laught and cry and in the end of it, we feel lighter. It's brilliant and Alan and Sigourney are really fantastic. I agree with MynaBeloved. Some journalists must learn how to talk to people.

Thank you! It was indeed a privalege (oh god - no Spell Check here and my spelling is appauling) and a pleasure to work with both Alan and Sigourney.. an amazing experience. I spent a week holed up in an office in Cananda with them. Quite daunting for a new writer - although it was also the first time I'd ever left my son... seven years to cut the umblical chord (!) - so coming to terms with that, I think, preocupied me slightly more so! Thankyou again for your lovely comments. Keep dancing! x

Alan is such a gentleman, he really is the greatest actor too!! Some of these people are just rude with they questions. Sigourney Weaver was just wonderful in the movie!! I like her and Alan together, and wish they made more movie together.

The question that the journalist was stupid. Few people know this, because Alan Rickman is very discreet, but that he indicated Sigourney for the role of Linda. When he read script he realized that the role would be perfect for her and the result was really fantastic. Beautiful movie, beautiful story of friendship.

I don't know if you're still checking back, but I hope you will see this. I want to thank you for writing this story. I recognized a lot of the things happening in the movie and the things said; it was all so true and sincere. It made me remember and be grateful for some beautiful moments I experienced. To me, they're all people and the sweetest kind. I know this is a cryptic message, but I can't reveal all in a tiny box. Just know that you're heard and that you moved people, including me.

Mr. Rick... the female journalist at the start even knew Alans surname...that's so awkward! It sucks! ...oh, like Alan says "accurate" Wow, very sexy.and when he said "..the sudden loss..." wowhoho..the voice is amazing... And this "filmstealercrap", really daft!

I really liked Emily Hampshire's character. Such a bummer that character died early in the movie. but then, the rest of the movie wouldn't have happened otherwise...

It's been a LONG time since I've looked up Snow Cake on KZbin - and this was my first ever press conference ( a BANK of tv cameras and journalists) and for someone who is mainly 'a mum' and not accostomed to any limelight... I was totally terrified. (I'm the one on the far left!). I also didn't have the wherewithal to start my comment about finding autism 'a lot of fun' with 'in my experience'... and upset a number of parents -for which I apologise. x
