I’ve had a limited for four years. Daily driver for construction, light/heavy hauling. No issues. Even bought the extended warranty and haven’t used it.

Woah! Looks amazing. I have been looking for wheels and tires, but now that I've seen your truck, I think 305/45r22 Toyos will be all that I need to get the look that I want!

Great video! I bought one last week and you showed way more than the salesman did lol Very informative bro, thanks for being detailed. One "ding" for this truck is the sound system. I had to lower the base down to near off position to keep the back from rattling (not sure exactly what causes it but it's there and it' annoying)

Nice truck Derek! I’m debating between the Ram and the GMC Denali with the 6.2 V8. I test drove the GMC and I thought the handling was a little soft. The truck didn’t brake very well either. I will test the Ram next.
@DerekBonzagni
@DerekBonzagni Жыл бұрын
Thank you! The 6.2 is a great motor paired with the 10 speed automatic I had it in my 2022 GMC Sierra 1500 AT4, Ram nails the ride, fit and finish. Here is a link to all my truck reviews: kzbin.info/aero/PLoCY0nEc08iqpNF7CnUGhGeyaPTfGO5xF

Thank you and congrats! The truck is epic if I don’t go with a HD on the next round I’ll use the lift rods to level it out. I like the width of the 305s it gives the truck a nice look.

@DerekBonzagni
@DerekBonzagni 4 ай бұрын
@@saradtomlinson764 yeah it’s a tough one, I’ve been through them all and I ended up back with the lightning since it works perfect for my lifestyle and prices are way down on ev’s. Maybe I’m getting old but I don’t miss the noise and enjoy the luxury ride to work. The ram limited was great but I missed the horsepower after the TRX. I tried diesel but hated the size, parking, and overall HD ride with old school solid axles. The TRX is amazing but I just couldn’t stand the gas bill every month with my commute. Now I have no fuel, no oil changes and charge at home once a week with all the power I need.

Nice video review. You've had a lot of trucks for sure. If someone was looking for an all around dependable good truck these days would ram be on top of the list? If not, which do you suggest or think are leading the pack? Thanks!
@DerekBonzagni
@DerekBonzagni 11 ай бұрын
Thanks for watching, by consumer reports the ram is top ranked. It has also been running the same 5.7 hemi and 8 speed zf trans for years which has been proven. Toyota is always ranked high but there has been negative feedback on the E Hybrid models. Ford has been a long time favorite but over the years the recalls have been frustrating. GMCs 5.3 has been solid with the 10 speed 2021+. Every truck has its issues so you have to pick what fits best for you. Towing, performance, fit and finish, reliability all factors. I love the Ram but don't love the dial to shift, and lack of driving modes but overall the ride, fit and finish are hard to beat with the recent rebates offered.

@@DerekBonzagni What a well rounded answer. Very nice. Since you've been through a number of truck purchases/transactions, I have a question for you: What percent off of MSRP is considered a great deal? Say the MSRP is 87K; what final number (after tax) would you consider to be a great deal. No trade, just purchase.
@DerekBonzagni
@DerekBonzagni 3 ай бұрын
@@precisionsoundworksstudio Its hard to answer since incentives and rebates can swing a price up to $10-15k off and change every month or so. Different Trims (Lariat, Platinums, XLT, Denali, Longhorn, bighorn, AT4, etc etc) have different discounts depending on demand. Since there are plenty of entry level trucks you usually see the bigger discounts on those trucks. The harder it is to find means less discount. We are in a agressive market so any truck right now has good incentives. Easily 8-10k off average. You'll have to shop incentives for each brand to see what fits your needs. Every brand has it's issues from Chevy, Ford, Ram and Toyota so pick what your requirements. I love all of them, the Ram for fit & finish, the GMC for style, the Ford is a good all arounder for towing, features, and comfort.

If this is too personal to answer disregard but it’s quite clear you are a big truck fan and to be able to experience and try out all these new vehicles is super incredible. I understand several of the recent trucks you had held up their value pretty well but are you constantly getting out of then upside down or always putting money down on the new vehicle you get in?
@DerekBonzagni

Happy to answer, up until this year the resale on the most popular trucks has been solid allowing me to trade usually with less than 10k miles and not take a huge hit. The Ford lightning was my first big hit due to the EV market downfall, the Raptor ans TRX still hold excellent resale. This year there are rebates and discounts on half ton trucks so I won't be trading like I used to. I rode the wave of amazing truck resale like everyone else last year with low production which helped me switch out frequently. Next move might be a diesel since they hold the best resale. I do love this ram though!

@@DerekBonzagniTo add to your point, I’ve also noticed that Half ton Rams generally don’t hold value as well as the GM or Ford products, and definitely not as well as the Tundra. But that can also be a huge plus, got my 22 Ram limited for 40k CAD under msrp with only 22k kms. I think for those looking to get a lightly used unit for a good price Rams are the way to go. Plus I also think they’re the best driving light duty trucks on the market right now. Too soon to comment on reliability but honestly don’t care that much, all of these modern trucks have trade-offs. Nice truck btw, mine looks pretty much identical with the same packages, just in a different color.

@@vee6411 Very true, love that limited. I went back to the lightning recently (video is up) only because it fits my lifestyle, has little to no maintenance, fully independent suspension, balanced chassis, and pulls like a TRX. They aren't for everyone but I love it.

@@DerekBonzagni Damn bro!! Congrats on the Lightning, it looks awesome. Honestly that is the way to go, I’m planning on keeping my Ram for a while so very good chance that my next truck will be electric. I know ppl talk shit and hate on it, as if brand loyalist weren’t bad enough lol. But it makes so much sense for trucks to be electric, literally unmatched torque. Btw, the other vehicles you’ve owned are all awesome, you have good taste. I would love to drive any of them myself 😂
