Why was everyone on the east coast freaking out about the snow? In utah we could get three or four feet in the valley and we can function fine, and still have to go to work and school.

The infrastructure and a high, condensed population are two main reasons. I live in Boston, which can handle the snow well, but we're in very tight, old streets, a lot of one ways, nowhere to put the snow, etc. Multiple storms within a short period of time make it really difficult. On the flip side, I grew up in a very rural area and while there isn't as big of a budget to handle the snow, it is a lot easier to clear driveways, main roads, and downtown areas because of less traffic and volume of people. Another huge reason is budget and snow equipment, or lack of - the further south you go on the east coast, the less prepared cities are because the snow doesn't happen as much and they don't have the equipment.

We got the same storm in Canada (and we just had another last night!), it was ridiculous, blew down one of our smaller trees! Take care of yourself, I had a nasty cold turn into pneumonia recently and it wasn't fun! :(

Get well, FDF! For next winter city please take warm hat with you:) Really recommend to mix ginger and lemon in blender and add 1-2 tea spoon in tea(without milk) for couple days, also add honey for sweetness - it makes me fill so much better when i'm ill.

I threw up in my mouth a bit when you said corned beef... xD I had an experience with the stuff when I was a wee kid, my grandma made some sort of dish with corned beef and I was so disgusted by it, and she forced me to eat it..
