Great! A simulator to train El Paso County's snow plow drivers how to take my mailbox out two years in a row. If they hit it this year they will certainly know because I cemented it 2 feet into the ground with a 4"x4" post.

Bro you know you can call the county and they have to replace that

Lol won’t be much trouble for a wing plow. I bet a snow load would still snap a 4x4 if wet enough.

Damn, I plow highways in northern Ontario. My training started the night of a big storm. Salted and had to drop iron. First run I did in the passenger seat. Second my trainer was passenger. Third run I was alone. And that was pretty much it. I plowed on call 7 days a week, 12 am to 12 pm night shift.

I didn't see much traffic or any turn lanes or stop lights and it sure is weird how you can see the paint on the road immediately... It sure is nice to have a clear view from the windshield without wind, darkness, and snow dust. Don't believe that it is this clear and easy folks. We can't see shit sometimes so don't expect us to see you...

I see they skipped the part where you get called in at 1:37am and have to make the 11 mile trip to the garage on an unplowed highway. Get into work and find your truck has been used on the 3-11 salt-watch and they parked it out back with the windows open and low fuel. After an hour of thawing and fueling your truck then try to find a loader to load your ballast...all the loaders are out plowing. How about that narrow street where 2 cars have parked parallel to each other and you have to back 100 feet or so to the intersection before some idiot drives up behind you. Also have the Mayor wont call a snow emergency option checked.

That's not the purpose of these simulators...these simulators are made for training, and have A LOT more details. No, you don't have advanced shadows, textures, etc, but they're not important for these types of training.

Super late comment but I wish visibility was that good on a normal daytime run. Usually snow is blowing up on the windshield and building up so much you have to pull over so you don't bust the windshield wiper blade off or strip the wiper arm gears. Now add night time with oncoming traffic with their high beams on coming at you and behind you, windshields are always scratched up so that makes it even worse. Now add fogginess to the inside of the windshield too add to the fun. So never assume we can see everything because we can't all the while keeping an eye too see where the damn road and edge are. We really have a tough time seeing everything on a good day let alone nighttime snow events. Also have never driven a plow with good bright plow lights
