I'm always surprised how quiet and still kids are when you paint their faces. Even the kids you hear excited and chatting on in line will go silent when you start painting. It's like it relaxes them somehow. I've had kids almost go to sleep! :)

I really like the addition of pink on the eyes for an Elsa, and maybe on the cheeks too. I think gives a look of being flushed from the cold, and makes the icy blues pop

@@fairyfox I'm guessing it must have been from repetitive motion? I had a job where I was typing a lot, which caused problems in my hands. Not fun! I'm glad that the brace provides some protection for you 🙂

Laura, this is just my curiosity coming out - you're right-handed as I am, and I have always worked with my paints (individual paints, of course, and that's why I have a jumbled mess after an hour or so at a busy festival! 😄) on my table to my *right*. Do you find it easier, with your paints in the cases, to reach across to your left, or is it just so your wonderful videos can be filmed? I could see it being a bit awkward, myself, having it so *close* on my right...maybe I could reach across as well! After 13 years, I'm still striving for the best setup. Waiting with 'bated breath for your video! You're such an inspiration! 💗💗💗
@fairyfox2 жыл бұрын
I so understand!!! I am always adjusting things to try and find the best way as well. I have done through many different versions of paints I pick up and ones I that stay down. Pros and cons, but I love how my table stays clean and organized when they stay down and all connected together, so for now that wins. I do have a loose black and white- because linework paint needs to be picked up. Left or right - I actually switch every day or two, I find it helps my back and shoulder to alternate the twisting. It is also nice when working with other painters to have the option of either. Cheers!

Just watched your video again. I really love your Elsa design - can imagine, that lots of girls will go for it. I also like your setup! i've been looking for those square black plastic containers - but I haven't been very successful in finding them. Can you please let me know where I can buy them? Are they available with a lid? Thank you so much for your help!!! 🙏

I was wondering if you have a recommendation for a skin barrier product to use under face paints for kids??
@devin77032 жыл бұрын
Mehron has a spray that is a barrier and setting in one. Also I moisturize the face before painting to minimize blue staining the skin.

Hello Janet! I use primarily TAG it is a waterbased professional brand. For white and black I prefer Wolfe or DFX. Welcome to face painting! You are going to love this place!!!

When you put lipstick - what product are you using and what applicator? I imagine not a 12 hour lipstick and having a q tip not a face painting brush. Please inform me!
@fairyfox2 жыл бұрын
I use disposable lip applicators- like they would use at a makeup counter. Sometimes I use paint, but recently I have been using a matte lip compact- doesn’t last forever- but longer than face paint.
