1:55 - I love how Kitajoh took the original intro of the FES remix and turned into the buildup to the loop reset. This is also the first version of this song that I feel like actually FEELS like a P1 song. The FES and P3D versions are fantastic and all but if this just kinda exudes that classic uncanny and esoteric feeling the original P1 OST from 1996 had. EDIT: Turns out it was either Tsuchiya or Kozuka depending on where you look. Either way, still stand by my previous statement

I gotta give it to ya Kitajoh; most times you try to do your own thing with an old song, you fall flat on your face. But that 9th time out of every 10 songs, you do some crazy good shit

I actually think Kitajoh has the opposite issue where he doesn't try to do his own thing enough. Most of the more disappointing arrangements in Reload are ones that try to stick as close to the original as possible, while those that deviate (like this and Changing Seasons) are actually pretty nice.

@@quinceymorris2595 lowkey I thought about it more and yeah I agree. One of my favorite songs from Reload was Memory of the School and he went way different with that. Kitajoh needs to play to his strengths more, and maybe get some better instrument samples (his brass and percussion are actually inexcusable.) Can’t hate the dude at all tho, he made Specialist -reincarnation- after all

EDIT: Apparently Tsuchiya is credited as both original composer and Arranger for the FES version, but in the credits he's also credited as arranger for Reload? For some reason? So I'm gonna assume they both had a hand in the arrangement.

It's a BGM song included with the Episode Aigis. You can play it while you're exploring Tartarus or the Abyss of Time

Isn't her name "Aigis" not "Aegis"? this is a banger remix but i prefer the original from FES

"Aegis" is technically the correct spelling, she is named after Zeus's shield. It correlates with her Personas Palladian and Athena being tied to Greek mythology as well.

Aegis is the Japanese version’s name for her. Aigis is used in western translations

@@stale_cheetomakes sense they should have just stuck with the spelling of aegis instead of aigis everybody. The west would have been able to handle it. It’s like how Aerith was mistranslated to Aeris but eventually it went back to Aerith in the remake series of ff7. It just confuses everyone when they make a separate spelling
