I know right? Makoto was the main person to show Aigis that there is more than just being a machine, that Aigis was her own person with dreams, goals, wants, desires just like a human. Aigis finally understood what Makoto and the rest of SEES have told and shown her right up to Makoto’s last moments alive on the school rooftop with a peaceful smile on his face. At the very least, Aigis will always have a piece of Makoto with her at all times with the ending of her social link confirming he touched her heart (quite LITERALLY) and Aigis inherited his Wild Card abilities, so it’s like Makoto living on in Aigis in a bittersweet way.

Then later down the line, all of you reach a crossroad to either move on to the future or return to the point before the person you love committed their ultimate sacrifice to save the world to prevent their death with no guarantee you’d make it out alive again. That must’ve been so hard on Aigis who took over Makoto’s position as leader at the time and must’ve been thinking to herself that the way everyone is acting, is what *MAKOTO* would’ve NEVER wanted them to do. And yes, while Reload was more inspired by the movies in some aspects there could’ve been room for more references to the movies so people who saw them would get a kick of seeing moments from the movie again, just officially in the game.

I love how this is pretty much the opposite of "It’s going down now". That track is meant to make you feel like you take on any form of challenge without any fear or hesitation thanks to its upbeat theme and cheerful lyrics. "Don’t", however, does a COMPLETE 180. It has a melody that makes you feel a sense of dread and unease, like something is very wrong combined with the fact that the lyrics themselves mention fear, hesitation and confusion/desperation. I think he has extremely high highs on Q2 and Strikers, though. That being said, I do feel like Kozuka is a LOT more willing to experiment with his sound than Kitajoh, who usually plays it super safe, so something with him as the lead sound director would be interesting.

I love how this is the direct opposite to it’s going down now. Where that song was focused on the pure determination and strength of SEES in their mission to save the world, this song is anything but that. There is no noble goal this time, instead it’s SEES’s reluctance to have to fight through their own traumas, sorrow, and grief over makoto. They all had things they wanted to do with him, promises that they believed they would be able to go through with, and now they’re never going to come true. Despite that, the song also demonstrates that they aren’t willing to let up, continuing to fight even if they’re losing sight of what they want.

She couldn't save him, she "failed" him. In her own eyes, she was unable to protect him when the time came, she blames herself for not being strong enough to do so, even tho the situation was never in her control to begin with, and all she could do was to stay by his side to comfort him when he passed. It's fucking heartbreaking dude
