G'day Cathy, Lovely spot. I lost a tarp to the rain once. Ground got soft and the pegs pulled out, lowering the tarp on to my gas lamp. Ended up with a nice big hole the size of my lamp! 😅😂

Thanks Richie. It’s treated me well and I’ve put it through a lot. I’m not surprised though that it ripped on both sides from the tie down points. I don’t think it liked all the tension I put it under and I could see the stitches stretching there. My stones creek tarp is so much more robust but it isn’t as light nor does it have mid point tie off points or ridge line tie offs and that make ‘fancy’ set ups tricky.

Yea she adores my sister. Walked with her, followed her around, settled onto her bed. So cute!!! Plus she’s smart, my sister is well organised so she had a comfy set up available in her tent long before me 😅

Hiya , my boots are Scarpa Kailash Trek GTX. They are ok, not quite as waterproof as I had hoped though, but I ask a lot of them. My rain trousers are Montane brand and fantastic!

Very nice. Dogs do love camping. Indy can be a bit of a big baby at times. You unzipped the door in the morning, Indy took one look out there, then looked at you like "can't we stay in here a little longer?" :D C'mon Indy, your a dog from down under, where's that dingo spirit? Now go chase down some critter and bring it home for mom to cook over the fire. 🤣🤣 Seeing that snow reminds me that summer's winding down up here in Canada😮‍💨,and you guys have summer coming up. Ha ha ha, that is so true. Funny enough Indi comes from good hardy South Island High Country sheep dog stock, but you wouldn't know it the way she soaks up luxury. We have just got back from a trip and she literally did a U-turn at the door of the tent when she saw the snow. So funny!

I'm a local and I've been watching your videos for a while now. I keep thinking how great it would be to have a GoPro camera or similar attached to Indi so we could see your adventures from her perspective and also give you some added footage. It might be something to think about as your channel grows and you get more support.

Thanks for sharing, on one of your posts you packed in some dry wood can i recommend ' Commodities NZ comprest sawdust logs , there one town up from me so not syif tbhey deal with the main land , you can break them easily but I'd suggest you get husbyor u to cut with saw into puck size you'll find they last long time burn well and not much smoke after going found them to be very good when I was hobo camp in Kimberly campground for summer as no one noticed me cooking at all ( sssh don't tell the MAN ) God save our new queen, oh how that'll upset some 😂😂👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼🤟🏼🤙🏼🖖🏼

Yes they would love to and we do family trips from time to time, but I usually do my channel solo camping trips mid week while they are working and at school, and weekends are family time with multitudes of sporting commitments for them, so it leaves little time for family camping outside of the school holidays.
