When I half wake up in one of those night because of the rumbling of the snowplow going past, I roll over, enjoy my soft pillow and fall asleep immediately with the cosy and secure feeling that the world covered in snow, as hostile as it may seem, is still working and that someone is out there is awake to keep us connected to the world. Early 80's we'd plow as long as 30 hours straight. After several driver crash's from lack of sleep they limited us to 16 hours. Whip lashed my neck in 88 at work and that was the end of my truck and tractor driving career. Really enjoy your videos.

Is there lots of people living there all year round? and do you have a sewer system to purge the Spring melt? Maybe into the local river system or mountain streams? The run off has to be very large!!?

Wrong. Most of the snow does not melt, it evaporates, ie H2O turns from its solid state directly into its gaseous state. Aka sublimation. No fluid state involved, therefore no flooding from snow "melting". Of course there are sewers in place also.
