I'm from Canada so it's really interesting to see this bc this really isn't that bad for us! definitely wouldn't have canceled school or not be able to drive. but it must be difficult when your city isn't equipped with snow blowers or utility services that can survive this:( will keep you in my prayers

You are so lucky you didn’t lose power. At my house , here in Austin, we lost power several times, but the longest times were for 10, 14, and then 18 hours. Not fun! I still love the snow, though!

I know you guys in Texas don’t have the same resources as the city’s that are used to this type of weather. For us that live in colder places as I do myself, that amount of snow might not seem a lot to you, but for them it’s huge. Imagine that all of a sudden that instead of 2 degrees (Celsius) it’s 35-40 degrees (Celsius). You would be shocked too. We have the resources for cold weather as that is normal to us. I pray that things get better, and that everybody will get heat, power and water again as soon as possible.

How do u feel about the climate change all of a sudden cuz usually Texas is very hot right so its not very common for it to snow? I think it has to do with global warming. Also here in the netherlands we suddenly had a snowstorm and the snow stayed for like a week, to the point that the waterbodies also turned into solid ice which made it possible for people to iceskate and even walk on ice which i did haha. Its really strange and funny how the weather can change like that all of a sudden hahaha. We didnt have snow here since 2012 so it was quite a surprise haha
