My dad got my mom a wearable heating pad from Amazon for Christmas. It's awesome, it goes on your neck as well, you should look into it. Also you definitely need to get yourself an electric blanket, they are so nice to have, I put it on top of my blanket and it makes it extra cozy in bed.

lol, Jake in the snow (I hope Ginger’s vet appointment went ok and that she’s now convinced that Sock is good 🍀). I also tend to avoid Trader Joe’s - ours isn’t large and it isn’t laid out well and it is always PACKED (I think the only time I’ve gone and it wasn’t busy the UI’s football team was playing in a bowl game lol)

Sci fi recs: Lois McMaster Bujold's Vorkosigan series (if I couldn't be James T Kirk, I would want to be Miles Vorkosigan - the anti- Kirk?). Elizabeth Moon's Vatta's War series. Quarter Share by Nathan Lowell (more slice of life but I love it). On Basilisk Station by David Weber (strong female MC) . Murderbot series by Martha Wells (oh so snarky). A Just Determination by Jack Campbell (JAG in space).

Just finished leviathan wakes! Highly recommend. Also the murderbot diaries by Martha Wells. Mostly short stories and one longer novel. Very fast based and funny!

I live in Vancouver BC Canada. The drivers here are like that here when it actually snows. In the city it doesn't normally snow here. When you go north of the city it usually does.

Have you ever tried crocheting? I just got back into it after a long break and I'm really happy about it! I'm making the 6 day star blanket and it's going well so far! I'm hoping to do more today. I'm still a beginner so the pattern has been a little bit of a struggle but it is still enjoyable! I chose purple, blue, dark blue, black, and white for my colors to match the vibe of my room!

i read Paradise 1 and Revenant x because you mentioned it a while ago and had a great time! can't wait to hear your thoughts! also for recs, i know you loved Project Hail Mary, have you tried Andy Weir's other books? Artemis can be a bit polarising but i really enjoyed it, and if you want something strange, the Southern Reach trilogy by Jeff Vandermeer is good, I've just started the last one this week also i literally just finished a cross stitch on new years day that i started almost 4 years ago, don't worry about how long it takes it's all about how much you enjoy making it :)
