Merry Christmas to you and your family! Thanks for more great trains. I feel nostalgic looking at the coal train. In UK when I was younger coal was one of the main traffic. You saw it everywhere.If what I heard recently is true there isn't any coal carried on UK rails now. Our last coal power station recently shut. Only coal we see now is in the coal tenders of privately owned steam locomotives which we are lucky we have a lot of in UK.

It's sad isn't it a country like ours not have any coal trains. Love to see a coal train it seemed they were a mile long when I was a kid probably wasn't but they were long trains & I saw lots of them.

i wouldn't bet on the coal plants being down for long unless you've got enough nuke plants Germany tried that and are restarting theirs! the found out this wid and solar con job don't work!

Scott i think they swapped power somewhere and ran the first one through here to Cleveland Friday it looks like the lash up that took the northbound curve in Greenwich! when i got back from the gun store in Greenwich and saw another pepto special that went through westbound i bet it was 80% to 90% those disgusting pink things! that coal drag could have used 2 more engines not just one!!

Great one Scott. That first coal train brought back a memory of when I was a very young child, and even until I graduated high school, and growing up in Columbia, MO of the coal yard just on the fringe of the downtown area that always seemed to have a hopper or two sitting on the spur in the yard. Every little town had it's coal yard back in the day. This has been a nice series. The next few days will be kind of busy so just in case, thanks for taking the time and hope you have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Thanks Lou! Yes, we had a coal yard in my hometown too. Had a spur off the B&O right into it. It`s got condos sitting on it now. Next time I make a video there I will have to point that out.
