My husband and I had just said the same words: snow is magical. We’re southwest of Asheville at 3800’ and getting lots of snow. We’re loving it!

Yeah how some could complain about watching it snow and being stuck at HOME I’ll never understand. It’s beautiful and rarer these days. I’m in Hendersonville. Enjoy!

Ya the radar really did a poor job on picking up what was really happening, it had Simpsonville in heavy snow for most of the storm when in reality we only saw a quick burst of snow before it changed to sleet and freezing rain, time to upgrade the computer models!

man pickens is always right inbetween 2 different amounts i never know what we are going to get here lol

Dude you screwed this up! I see your back tracking on your whole weeks report.
@vinniedeluca218815 күн бұрын
Listen man I understand your frustration, as a snow lover myself I was really looking forward to what Chris was projecting, what him and many others did not account for was the amount of dry air in our area which is why the radar had moderate to heavy snow over us and it was barely even snowing. He’s clearly a big time snow lover too so and with us not having any measurable snow in over 1000 days he got over hyped which clouded his better judgment, John kept his composure no matter what but I did see him predict a few winter storms the wrong way too. What I hope Chris learns from this storm is to not strictly base his forecast off of the computer Models, there is a lot of factors that they don’t catch and as an experienced meteorologist he should definitely use his experience to his advantage, all that to say me and a ton of others were let down with only a trace of snow at best in Simpsonville when they were calling for 2-4 inches on the low side!
