I had the honor of sewing those special patches on the vests this year 2019. These young people have had so much sadness in their young life and I hope I got to bring a smile to them as they picked up their vests with all the choices of patches we sewed on for them. I will return again next year.

Gold Star family here... y’all got it a little wrong. A Gold Star Mom is the mother of the service member not the Gold Star child. A “Gold Star kid/child” is the child of the service member. The Widow of the service member is the Gold Star Wife or spouse. Many of these “mothers” you have labeled are not Gold Star “mothers” but the wives. You may not think it’s a big deal but it is to Wives and mothers. Thanks, a Gold Star Kid.

This video is about the family's who lost a loved one serving our great country so that we can live in Freedom and honoring and remembering their sacrifice.
