You are totally right in it always happens on the smaller features , I was hitting medium jumps last year but birdmaned on the 1st jump in the small park , had my only injury and on landing my shoulder swung hard around ,be interested to hear Mikes take on what went wrong. He seemed pretty dialled in leading up to that jump.

Was going to Austria next week with a bunch of friends but they are closing down all the mountains in Europe and ending the snow season due to the Corona virus, I'm so disappointed ... :(. Man, so bummed to see Mike get hurt like that! :-( I did something similar two years ago - went too big, landed badly, completely dislocated my shoulder. Hurt like hell and took 8 months of physio to recover. Since then, been thinking a lot about buying some body armour with shoulder, chest and spine protection - perhaps the same stuff they use for motocross. What are your thoughts about body armour Casey? Any of you guys tried it? Is there a particular brand you'd recommend for snowboarding?
