I don't know enough words to explain why I love snowboarding. It's the first turn of the year. It's a lift line 2 hours before opening on a powder day. It's a springtime party lap with strangers. It's what grounds, what inspires, and what connects. I love snowboarding and everything it's given.

Snowboarding is the ultimate lifelong teacher. As a kid I learned balance, grit, and commitment and ate a lot of shit on homemade backyard parks. My music taste was basically curated by whatever was in the videos. As an adult it taught it taught me about connection with people and nature and also challenged me with injury. Finally now taking my own kids up to the slope we shred together. Learning to love mini shred on the bunny slopes. I love seeing how the sport has changed and yet it’s pretty much the same. Enjoying sliding on snow with your buddies! Really stoked to watch Milestone soon. Keep shredding Eero! Highly motivating for us dads out there still trying.

Eero is the guy that got me to try snowboarding. one time when we went to ruka with my family and on the car ride (7h car ride) i watched a video part that eero was a part of just for fun. my mom had a snowboard and i tried that one day on the hill. i was bad and still are but it was so much fun to try as skier. i havent tried it since because my moms board is too small for me and also because i ski and consider it as my main winter sport but i would love to try it again this winter and see if i have gotten any better (probably not). Great episode just so cool to hear what Eero has done over the years.

Yes, made it definitely this far. I remember seeing Eero the first time in Primevil, since I am from Switzerland, I of course, know this movie. I hope some Kid get's the board, that needs it. As far as I am concerned, I started snowboarding before 2000, but only took it seriously after the millennium. I skated first and in Switzerland we have a lot of snow in the winter so snowboarding followed right after starting skating. Nowadays, I am a father of two kids as well, and it's so fascinating how much I can resonate with the story of Eero. I still love snowboarding and seeing this Podcast is so inspiring. Gets me hyped even more for winter! Thank you all for this great community! Much love for everybody

Why I Love Snowboarding? Snowboarding isn't just about hitting the slopes; it's about the whole experience. Being out in the mountains gives me a sense of freedom and peace that's hard to find anywhere else. But even more than that, it's the connections I make along the way that keep me coming back. From riding with friends to supporting local core shops that live and breathe snowboarding, it's a community that feels like home. Every trip up the mountain is a chance to share great moments, push each other, and just enjoy the stoke together. That's what it's all about for me. Another great episode 👊🏽

I love snowboarding because it's the only time I get to be 100% present in the moment. No wandering thoughts or stress get in the way, just pure focus on the next turn or bump in front of me. A lot of hobbies/obsessions have come and gone over my lifetime, but snowboarding has remained consistent. The ever evolving culture of snowboarding is something that's always resonated with me since I was a little kid, and I haven't found anything similar in another hobby.

I Love Snowboarding. checking the snow cam/ radar at 3am knowing its been pounding the night before. waking up early, making the coffee, rolling the joint, meeting up with friends or riding solo and making sure you get first chair or first light on a sick day. The feeling pointing it towards a side hit knowing your gunna go huge. A really proper feeling method. Soft soulful turns leading to a powerful slash, covering myself in A grade duff. Being so cold on a mega pow day, not giving a shit about frostbite, only to get frostbite and be still hyped on it. Spraying skiers, and getting yelled at by them afterwards. Hearing your homies cheer cause you got the clip. Eating shit to only get redemption. Finding new zones, working for hours to get there, just to take one run. Spending hours watching video parts only to evolve to watching hours of the bombhole. Working at a Radio boardshop the last 14 years to keep fueling my love for snowboarding and giving that fuel to anyone who walks in that door! Thank you Snowboarding. Thank you Bombhole. Thank you Eero, your parts are LEGEND.

Why I love snowboarding? I love the flow of it, the style, the exhilaration of nailing a couple of cool feeling tricks, of linking together a couple carves, some pow slashes, carving up a bank on the side of a trail. But sometimes the snow sucks or I suck, my tricks suck, but then there's the woods, the views, the fresh air, watching others tear it up and then there's building jumps and shaping. It's like the best compliment to riding! The best job. If you get cold or your riding sucks you can go hike or pick up a rake and start shaping, get some exercise and make those features nice and smooth.

This guy I know used to skate as a teen for like 5 years he was ok with the basic stuff, 180s, 360 flips, slides grinds, he started snowboarding last year at 43. He never smoked a cigarette in his life, always took care of his health, he goes shredding with 20 - 30 year olds, his progression is crazy, he´s doing 180s, 360s out of mid kickers already, nose slides, lib slides etc, he said in the beginning his groin was killing him for like 4 months and he felt sore often but now his body adapted and he is good, he might wear a bit more protection than the younger guys and stretches and does a bit yoga but he can hang and ride with them all day with no problem. . . it is never too late, just fxxxx do it.

What I love about snowboarding is how I can bring a family together. You can build a love for a sport a hobby, a passion and then once you actually have a family, you can share with them and the joy it brings you your kids to snowboard like you, Chris just a little baby I have three kids, my favorite moments even riding my whole life I’ve been teaching my daughter and seeing the joy and her eyes and heart and now with the twin boys I just had three months ago. I can’t wait to teach them and share it with them and my wife and I and our three kids all right as a family, nothing beats seeing joy on your kids faces when they finally get it. That’s why I love snowboarding. I found something that I can share and bond with my family and it brings us all together.

Such a legendary Ep! Without sounding too cheesy I honestly have to thank Eero for my initial love for boarding. As a kid the first movie I had a copy was white balance, from that young impressionable age I would run back that video part over and over to the point where when I got my first iPod I’d blast “press rewind” while barely being able to link turns down the hill thinking I was the sickest 4th grader on the hill 😂 Fast forward years later and I’m not the best boarder by any means but when I throw a back rodeo on a park jump it’s all based off the impression Eero made for me growing up of what tricks were cool in my head. Too me his riding just showed maximum enjoyment on a board without doing things that looked forced and just the most simple bs 180 from him would make me so excited to go ride no matter what the conditions. What went from trying to copy someone to look cool has turned into the resort being my escape from everyday life and I can honestly say there is nothing like it. I only have a bout 4ish months of out season at my small local resort of mt Shasta but man those 4 months are what I look forward to most the entire year. Just knowing it’s about to be November again has me anxious to strap on that board and get back out there. Cheers to the pod for keeping me stoked until winter! Ps does anyone remember when Eero, Torstein and the Helgasons all had their own websites at the time dropping goofy little edits? Damn those were good times. I remember refreshing those sites over and over everyday after school.

It's not aways easy feeling the love when you come from Quebec ice, but it's always there and you appreciate it always more when you do get that 12'' dump a couple of times in a season... Also spraying skiers always gives me a smile...a tear even. I would love to give that spark back to my Girlfriend, she actually demoed the karma and loved it.

Every time I strap in to the bindings it’s a unique experience some times Im pushing my limits and proving to myself I can do more and be more. Yet other times I’m connecting and forging memories with life long friends and family. My love for snowboarding truly goes beyond just riding down the mountain. It goes to the community and culture that has made me feel welcome and be a place where I feel I can be myself. But it’s still more than that.
