An instant like for any video involving Giri going low (all of them). Love it when you guys team up. My APSI instructor had us to the 3 click challenge. Felt super unnatural but very quickly highlighted poor body position and helped me discover that i wasn't using my ankles and knees enough to drive the board.

Fantastic stuff - great to see regular videos arriving from you again Ryan. And I love the ideas Giri comes out with - loosening straps!!! I wish we had some snow here in Scotland so I can give it a go. Please, please - more pure music vids in the Smooth Snowboarding series. I learn so much from just watching these as well. I see the tash is back - ha ha!

Thanks for another great video! I appreciate that this video, in particular, shows what it's like carving in real conditions with other skiers and riders around. There are so many carving videos on KZbin showing a loan carver on the hill in freshly groomed pristine conditions with no traffic to contend with. It cannot be overstated how alert and aware of your surroundings (including uphill traffic), you need to be when carving. I always appreciate that your videos show this important aspect of carving. Stay safe out there, have fun, and CARVE ON!

So Giri buys an Orange Volcom in the same season I do??? Ha! Giri is an awesome instructor, I took a private with him last season and already texted him that I want another one this season. Solid dude, super sick.

@@joshuaarcher1337 I was impressed with that to. And he was making it look so effortless... Im going to guess that Giri's Donek is way stiffer than JBs Archaic and has alot more camber. Full disclosure, I cant do any of those kinds of maneuvers on purpose.

I'm definitely trying the 3-click challenge (when we get snow). Class I took, we had to try to carve with the heelstrap off (definitely need a leash, because at my skill level, you *will* come out of the bindings; maybe some of the kids I see no-boarding could do better). That was wild. 3-click challenge looks like a good drill for getting back to basics, like one-footing and riding the chair switch. Stoked to try it!

I was watching another KZbinr that has a gimmick of sneakily making you think he is about to lay the most amazing tip on you and says, “like smash that Like button,” it makes me laugh almost every time. I even started liking your vids every time now because you are my favorite and supposedly it really helps drive viewers to the channel. You could easily work a similar strategy into your tutorial style videos. If they like they will subscribe.

In flat light i really struggle because i lack alot of feeling in my legs due to nerve damage as a kid. As a result i have to use what ever visual point of reference i can get. As light gets flatter i tend to ride at the edge of runs and where i can judge the shape of the snow against something it contrasts against like the tree line or a snow fence. If i dont have something i can get a visual contrast against i will follow another rider and watch there feet to get an idea of what im about to ride into :)

What is he riding now? I know he can obviously do whatever he wants on either, but just wondering...,
