We've had a nuts season up at Titus Mountain (go to whiteface, then go another hour north...). It's been a pow day every weekend the past month and we have excellent snow unlike Iceface
@theroadnottakentravel2 жыл бұрын
Whiteface probably gets more snow but the wind blows it all off. I never realized that Titus gets snow. I haven’t been yet but based on google maps the lifts look slow and the runs kind of flat-is it worth a visit?
@seantierson26332 жыл бұрын
@@theroadnottakentravel slower lifts for sure. There's some cool terrain and a lot of woods runs if you know where to look. For how cheap it is, definitely worth a visit. Titus actually gets more snow than Whiteface because of the weather pattern rolling over the mountains. They don't make much snow at all

This was one of the most accurate east coast condition videos. You get ice on grass (warm temps melt the man made snow and then they freeze back up overnight) and when it snows the wind will blow you and the snow away very quickly. Prestine east coast conditions~

driving through NH the other day it went from bluebird to white out conditions with less than a quarter mile visibility, roads iced over and people were spun out everywhere....then back to normal like 10 miles up the highway. dont mess with northeast weather. mt washington in NH still has the highest winds ever recorded on earth. the weather in the white mountains particularly can be vicious and change in minutes.

East coast is struggling this year. Not a lot of snowmaking opportunity. If you find you way to NH I'd like to recommend Loon and Ragged. Loon is top tier East Coast and I would say it rivals Mt. Snow. Ragged is a top 5 park in New England. Family owned resort.
