In this video we are snowboarding in the Austrian Alps at St. Anton and running through a few quick tips for this butter trick! This is a really fun trick to know because you can pretty much throw it anywhere as you are snowboarding around groomed terrain. Once you are comfortable with ollies and very comfortable with backside shifty's, you're ready to try the Hot Garbage (A.K.A. on snow blunt slide). The best place to try this trick is over a roller or on the knuckle of a jump since that will help give you lift above the snow with minimal ollie. You'll want to approach the roller with good speed and ollie just as you are coming over the crest, once you're in the air focus on dipping your tail down so that it is dragging on the snow and then twisting, extending, and holding your backside shifty as best as you can. It takes some practice to get comfortable with, but once you have it down I'm sure its a trick that you'll be throwing all the time. Let us know any questions you have down in the comments below, thanks for watching!

yo guys awesome video. One tip: check out that one lift on the top of the mountain in St.anton. I forgot the name of it but, its this one lift where it seems that you have to que up for 10 hours to get in. (it's acutally not that long of course) But believe me its definitely worth the wait. The few on top there is amazing. If I remeber it correctly, I think you are basically above the clouds there so the weather is always great there as well.

This is Hot Garbage: From Snowboarder Mag Tricktionary (2010) Hot Garbage [haht gahr-bij] noun: A frontside boardslide where your board is turned well past the perpendicular 90˚ mark. The more your tail points down the hill, the hotter the garbage is.

Hi bro! I follow u on yt. Bro I have a 2012 flat top board. Iam an intermediate rider, Iam thinking to buy a new board the burton custom 2024 Flying V. Flying V is a good option for butter tricks? Or its difficult one? (I like how colorful the board is) please

I know, I am on the Bataleon ETA but the board I linked to is almost the exact same just the Lobster version. Lobster is Bataleons sister company that shares all of their technologies and the same factory.
