I hate you... Why didn't you make this video when I started 6 years ago? :) This is exactly the kind of lesson I was looking for.. .Simple, to the point and so freaking easy to start jamming and having fun, and actually playing the blues. Everything back then was just a little too, I don't know, "heady" for me I had trouble getting my head around them and grew frustrated to make stuff sound good. This would have started me out much less frustrating and more fun path. I am going to recommend this video whenever someone is looking to get started. Although it's 6 years too late for me, THANKS for making this great tutorial.

Thanks, Mike, that was a great jam to end the video with! I'm new to CBG, and I really like the sounds you can get from such a simple instrument.

Great lesson. I’ve bought several of your cigar box guitars. They are literally works of art and they sound great, too. I’m a fairly accomplished 6 string guitar player, but I don’t sound as good on a 3 string cigar box guitar. I’m really having difficulty getting a good tone with a slide. I’ve tried a number of different slides and just can’t get it right. Can you help or give me some guidance? I feel like if I can get the slide right I can really take off on the cigar box guitar.

Mike'ster, Enjoy all your videos and I'm learning with all thanks to you. 2 Questions: Why called 1 4 5 Blues when it is 5 7 3 frets? and would you make Crossroads How To Thursday video? Many thanks from Pennsyltucky!!

Hi Mike, I really look forward to your videos. I'm new to the 3 string cigar box in fact I'm a total beginner and find your method of teaching easy to follow. I would really like to play Sultans of Swing by Dire Straits, although I've seen a couple of versions by other guitarist, however I was wondering what your take on it was. If you can do this that would be great. Appreciate you man Stay safe Regards Elvis Southwest United Kingdom
