I'll be doing studs soon. The 7 seems to work with 200 lbs on snow so far. I'll probably have another 50 of ice gear and see how it does

I love my snowdog. I got the 13hp full size model and it's a beast. I have used it for bear baiting and general transport in the summer. I'm pumped for ice fishing season though. Best part is I don't need a trailer and will just use a scooter hitch carrier.

@@BendItFishing I bought the UC-500XL hitch carrier from Summit Racing. It's more expensive than a lot of other carriers but It's made of steel and it's the only one I trust to safely carry the 300lb snowdog. Plus it has a ramp so that's nice. www.summitracing.com/parts/rrr-uc500-xl

How much will the 7 hp pull in snow or packed down snow?

@@paulrenier1550 not sure yet. What I've read is it can pull 330 on flat ground like a lawn and much more on ice. I have also heard it's a little underpowered for most other things

Thanks for posting video and the tips shared by others ordered same unit its going to be dropped off by the trucking company tomorrow!! The purchasing process seems a little dodgy you get an email from Sergei giving you account numbers to wire transfer money to then they ship it out once they have your money no worries transaction was seamless I got shipping invoice immediately via email it shipped same day arrived in 2 days was bemoaning arrival of winter now can't wait for it to snow and the lakes to freeze over.

If it has electric start on your motor it has a charging system so you do not need to disconnect your battery

@@BendItFishing yeah I can understand that. Most of the lakes that I fish up here, because of constant thaws and freezes over the winter, tend to be more ice-covered than snow-covered. You can do a lot of 360s unintentionally if you're not careful on smooth clean ice without studs. I put 25 studs on the track and pull on average six to eight hundred pounds each trip, 3 guys and a pile of gear. Takes right off from a stop. It's the cat's meaw. Good luck ice fishing this year.

dont forget to grease the bogeys and shaft bearing before using it... otherwise your going to change a few in a year or so... believe me russian sealed bearings aint sealed for shit.

@@BendItFishing wheels have white caps on them. Remove them and reach between the bearing gasket and the inner ring of the bearing with a grease needele and stuff it as much as you can. The rear axle also has 2 bearing insige the plastic cog and is harder to reach... i had to dismantle the whole thing to stuff grease on both sides of both bearings . Both bearings went bad after 1 season because of water infiltration. My brother even had one completly seized in rust. Check it out, maybe its just us who got poorly lubricated OEM parts.

I have better luck with my snowdog than my 4 wheeler for ice fishing. When there is a foot of snow on the ice, the snowdog really shines, and I have pulled couple ATVs out of the deep snow. It is a different machine, can't really even compare the two.
