Snowdon Solo Sunrise - and Kit Test for The Arc of Attrition

A winter hike to Snowdon’s summit offers a breathtaking yet challenging experience. The path is often icy, with snow blanketing the mountain, creating a serene but tough atmosphere. Starting from the Llanberis Path, the route ascends steeply. Alas, Solo Sunrise means a night hike - so no views! As you approach the summit, the wind picks up, and the temperature drops significantly, requiring good kit & prep. Which is exactly why I used this as an opportunity to fully test the Arc of Attrition mandatory kit! The summit itself was snow/ice -covered - and although 'pre-dawn' was beautiful - the mist soon blocked out the actual sunrise!! Hey ho - better luck next time! In any case it's always an exhilarating running / hiking Snowdon in the harsh winter conditions.
