Please talk about the Netherlands, not about Holland, it's not the same. Amersfoort is not even in Holland, it's in the province of Utrecht

Hey, teacher, thanks for the small lecture, but everyone use Holland to mean the Netherlands, don't worry about that - even the futebol team is called Holland, right? And it is representing the whole country, I believe 😘

@@BrazilianinHolland Not everyone in the Netherlands likes that. And no, the name Holland is not representative for the whole country. People from the provinces Holland would like it to be, but most of the people of the other provinces don't like that at all. Especially if you go to provinces below the great rivers, or to Friesland, it's better not to use the name Holland. In Limburg especially they will feel insulted. And thanks for your big, well-meant compliment. Very clever of you to rightly guess I am a teacher. As indeed I am - of history and of Dutch.

@@mariadebake5483 my dear, my boyfriend is Dutch, his friends are Dutch, his whole family, and none of them got ever offended when I said Holland. The only people who ever corrected me was you and a couple of Portuguese - are you Portuguese btw? Because it seems like it is a thing between those, to correct brazilians who say Holland 😂 Anyway, have a lovely weekend. Me, my boyfriend, his friends, family and a lot of people in this country will carry on saying Holland - just like the name of the national football team - and I hope you can get used to it. Or carry on wasting your time coming here to correct me in every video 😂😘

Everybody says Holland, I even hear it on the TV, all the time. There is no offense here, only reality. If you felt offended, I'm sorry, but it is clearly not my intention with the use of "Holland", as you know, that is how the country is known worldwide.
