Crave Life Episode 28
Exploring Alaska's best backcountry by snowmachine and timbersled is hard to beat. It is even more harder to beat with 5 feet of fresh powder, endless rolling hills and towering rocky peaks to enjoy.
We ran into another rider, separated from his group, which quickly we realized we mutually knew the great Alaska Snowmachine Legend Chad Christman. Over a crackling fireplace, we share great memories of Chad and remember his greatest passion of exploring Alaska's endless backcountry and nature. RIP Chad, Always remembered and never forgotten.
Enjoy........

Thank you for the video! The wilderness is very mysterious with its never ending beauty and unforgiving forces. I had a friend disappear in the wilderness of Oregon, he was very experienced too. Keep up the vids! Your grandkids or whoever will love watching these when they're older 😜

I assume to this day, your friend has not appeared? Over my 72 years, I have lost many friends here in Alaska and during my 5 tours in Vietnam and you never forget them, especially the ones never found or recovered. Jan. 2018, I bought my first brand new snowmachine, a 2018 Poloris Indy 550 LXT and I love it, it is so comfortable than my 1997 Arctic Cat 340, which still looks good and runs just fine. When you guys were parked in Willow, was it the area by the bridge going to Hatcher's Pass? I live close by. This video I really enjoyed. Going to my remote cabin takes about 3 hours depending on the weather. I have 8 acres on a remote lake with 900 ft. of lake front. Thanks for this video

Hi John, Thanks for sharing that. Yes, the parking lot we launched from on this trip is at the bridge crossing Willow Creek. It's also the same place that we launched to/from for the helicopter flight and snow machine trip with the Troopers. Beautiful country but very unforgiving if one gets stranded out there.

The only thing I can say about your friend is that, if people do not want to be found due to a bad past or a lifestyle that is, well not good, they never will return. Is his life okay but had to go out of the Country for a short time and didn't wanted to know anybody about it, certainly not a Government or something but it would be for a couple of months.. and the way the cabin was shut, was to open it again.. not for a short hike but for a bit longer and certainly return. He just didn't wanted to alert anybody probably. But... now that he is on a missing list... what happens if he found out about it.. it could result in him going away forever IF his past is not good. Don't get me wrong, I of course would be jumping in the air for you if you found him safe and sound and came back to stay again but.. if you already say that there's been found activities on his behalf and you choose not to go in it further And that is absolutely your choice but I think that you have to let him go.. I think he lived great in Alaska, nice quiet and remote but that those days are over.. But something you guys where doing! That looked COMPLETELY Fantastic!! Great snow to play in! And by the way, I follow a KZbinrs couple that live in Willow 😁 How fun! But now I know how their backyards are looking like! Fantastic and sooo beautiful! 👌😎 Glad to see you guys had FUN! And I hope your friend returns, keep looking for trails and look under the Cabin too? I am sorry he choose not to tell you he was leaving for awhile because people just get concerned when someone disappears.. maybe he didn't had a choice in his way of thinking. Who knew. Yeah, maybe the only one that knew was him.. and I guess even then things can go totally different. I just hope that he one day will stand on your doorsteps just to calm your concerns and everything is alright! But glad you had a blast with the machines and by the looks of it, lots of people were out that day! 😎👌

So sorry to hear about your missing friend, please keep us posted. I have a 4x4 wheeler, I would like to offer my assistance in the search after breakup if it is passable with a wheeler. Please keep us posted. I live in Fairbanks and want to get into sledding but have next to no experiance. Is there a group that mentors old guys (47) on snow machine riding?

First statement: sorry no good news on your bro. Great video! Awesome action. I’m a desert rat and play in the big sand dunes. Very similar! I have never had the opportunity to get on a snow machine. Some day. Now as a pilot I’m very disappointed in your fuel management. Too close. You know better. Keep up the good work and try to get more videos out. You know what to do.
