Is this 970 ramp profile similar to the 966? And the 966 is similar to 990 (?in clicker 2 or 4?)

I have a 87 yamaha exciter that I use for ice fishing in Colorado at altitudes from 8,000 to 10,000 ft. Carbs are jetted for that altitude. But I get a bad bog from a stop through low mph. What color spring and weights do you recommend. There's a yellow spring in there now. Thanks.

what about belt deflection? do you set it just tight enough for track to creep on a stand like I hear from others all the time? thanks a lot. surprised how far off the stuff on my sled is from the dealer. track too tight and slightly out of alignment. belt was too loose as well. its no wonder some people have dogs and some people have runners. Most probably don't check any of these things.

Set it according to manual right on the edge of track creeping works fine

Thanks. Almost everything was out of spec as I got it from the dealer. What’s your Facebook ?

Hey Rich ! Love your videos and subscribed ! Question here ! I got a 2009 RMK 700 And at 3/4 throttle I hit the rev limiter and then The Zoomies kick in... I can ride my sled and give it it's full power but I can never pin it down... I'm always riding this sled under 3/4 throttle... What can I do to fix this issue ? Put heavier weights on the tips ? I got MTX clutch weights that you got to hammer pins in... Thankx for helping Rich !

I tried using your brake draging method on my 19 axys R with the same setup I had last year on my 15 IQR just to check if I was close at all. I was shy about 500 RPM from where I was running on my previous sled. Same motor just newer, same jetting, same gearing , same weights, springs and helix I took out of my 15 and put into my 19. I'm sitting here scratching my head now.

Its a bit trickey you have to hold the brake tight enough to load engine like riding and only, the twins will not rev unless loaded so I am thinking not enough brake . Only do 1 x and then cool some or you can warp a rotor after a few runs. If any doubt make a 200 ft pass in lawn and will be a 100-200 low as a short distance.

There is a chance the 19 has an issue and is down on power so if any doubt put it on the ground and try it..

@@justforlaughs8988 Ok you should be able to put a steeper helix in do to the extra horsepower and you will run even better. Another trick would be to put a much softer secondary spring in then the 440 helix will open much quicker and act like a steeper helix. The best set up hill racing is being right on the edge of bog as you leave.. Do some testing in a wet dirt field and very close to hill conditions.. See you at KB and Cockaigne...
