I am American and i went to Inverness, Scotland on a vacation with my family. My girlfriend and I went out late night and wanted to see the nightlife and meet some locals. We went to a pub and they played this song. It was the first time i had ever heard it and I loved it. Everybody at the bar was singing it! I relive this moment (in my head) every time i hear the song. One of the best memories in my entire life. Beautiful song!

even tho i have seen snow patrol live i feel a bit jealous of this letterman crowd especially knowing what the irish reaction to music i grew up with would be.....these people got a show that not much can compare to and literally zero people were tuned in enough to be like oh my god its snow patrol....always maintained they got drowned out by coldplay and the likes but they were on par skill and song writing wise, they just didnt have the mass appeal machine driving them....and ive seen both live
