Thank you for a great Review, due to this and some other factors I bought one. I took my new .22 M25,Snowpeak to the range today, and was very impressed. 50 Pellets to lead it up and make sure it was all OK, zeroed the scope at 30 yards, then knocked out the middle of reactive targets pretty consistently. Pushed the range out to 50 yards and was still hitting the Knock down targets on the Field range. All with a 11 foot pound reading on the crono and the whole package was less than £500, from Trago in Falmouth.

It may sound ridiculous, but that "frontend" rail is used (along with the main rail) to mount the (cheap) foldable front/rear sights.
6 ай бұрын
The accessory rail forward of the scope rail on M25 is absolutely perfect for the front sight of those after-market flip up iron sights with the peep sight to rear. The separation of the rails gives a spot on sight picture for these sights. The scope/mount combo I have installed allows me to leave these in place, and on removal of scope, utilise the irons. A rarity on this sort of gun

That is one nice looking and pretty accurate rifle , rather heavy and a bit long perhaps but certainly an attractive rifle , It almost looks like a sniper rifle but I wouldn't want to carry it around all day even if its got enough air capacity for a couple of weeks in the woods , and of course it's a PCP and I'm a luddite who prefers springers . Hi Richard! It is long but it's oddly easy to handle as the weight is spread out throughout the stock making it feel deceptively light and manageable. It's definitely going to be divisive when it comes to looks. Those into traditional rifles won't be swayed but I really do think that the younger generation of shooters will fall in love with it. The stock quality really is top drawer and I know I'll get torched by the HW brigade for my comments but it's a solid lump and it's incredibly well finished. There's no moulding line going through the stock like with my HW97 and it's in general a better feeling stock. Thanks Richard and all the best! I'll see you next time.

Hey Derrick. This is true but the top mounted rail still doesn't offer the flexibility of the side mounted rails. A side mounted rail can do all of the jobs of a top mounted unit (barring sights of course) but it allows the shooter to attach torches etc without having to buy angled mounts. It is interesting though. Cheers Derrick!

50 inches ? LETS demand a carbine version of this one ! On the manometer location: it is bound to have less leakage than T-crossing pieces in between with twice the number of seals. Reliablility and cost issue I think. Room enough for the middle finger behind the trigger guard, I hope !

Hey Hendrick! It's actually a really great looking rifle with the silencer removed and the thread protector attached. The pressure gauge issue is definitely a cost/ease of manufacture solution. Thanks for the great and thorough review! I was recently sold an M11 in 25 cal and was reluctant but the salesman was very good and had cash burning in my pocket. Firstly I'd like to get a better magazine for that M11 and am now curious if the magazines for the M25 would fit and work with the M11? Also I think it would be necessary to install a regulator and perhaps see if there are mods available for sale to adjust the hammer spring? I think the M22 has an adjustable hammer spring from pictures I've seen. Getting after sales service is a nightmare in my country and those whom can potentially help seem to be total rip-off artsists, anyways. I'll be emailing the guys over at Robert Lane Regulators, their prices seem more affordable than HUMA Air. Will get to check out your other content and possibly see your reviews on the M11 and M22 at a later date. Keep up the great work!
@bigdansairguns83 Жыл бұрын
Hi Peter. The M11 is an excellent rifle and a pretty brute too. The M25 mags off memory won't fit with the M11 unfortunately. The M11/M22/M16 mags are all interchangeable however the only rifle that the M25 is compatible with mag wise is the M30. In regards to the regulators if you wanted to save some cash the standard regs are genuinely very good albeit they're tweaked a bit too high for the UK market at 150bar. That said it's easy enough to strip down and adjust and by opening the transfer port and then lowering the reg pressure and fine tuning the hammer spring you'll end up with a better tuned rifle than just throwing in a HUMA or Lane reg. That said if you wanted to put a new regulator in I highly recommend the Lane regulator. We have them in our Cometa's and they're superb. All Artemis rifles also have adjustable hammer springs at the rear of the action. Make sure you have a chronograph handy when adjusting however. Thanks Peter and I hope this helps.

@fudgepie13 жыл бұрын
Greeting. I have one in 5.5mm and I'm very satisfied with the accuracy. Call it the poor mans FX Impact but it works for me. My only gripe is that I cannot find out how to adjust the valve time / spring to increase the velocity. It is supposed to do approximately 900ft/s out of the box but it does 840ft/s with a 15gr pellet and 750ft/s with the 22gr pellet. It has a 20" barrel ans should be capable of better performance. Since I don't live in the UK or China I'm not restricted by the UK restrictions. I need to increase the muzzle velocity to approximately 900ft/s with a 22gr pellet to be able to take advantage of the ballistic coefficient and flattened trajectory of slugs. If anybody knows how to adjust the valve time / spring tension I would appreciate it.

Hi! It looks very similar to the M11. Does it have a flat head screw at the back end of the gun? You might have to remove the stock to see it. That screw will turn up the hammer spring tension. To increase the regulator pressure you just degass the gun (on the M11 there's a little silver degass screw on the left side of the gun) then you can unscrew the pressure tube to expose the regulator. The regulator has a flat head screw on the front end and you just turn it counter clockwise to increase the pressure. Don't turn more than half a turn or you'll risk damaging the regulator inside.

@@wesbashforthairgunarcheryf6166 Hi Wes. Thank you for that. It has a large flat head screw approx 16.5 mm across at the back of the gun which takes an alan key / hexagonal key. It looks like the drawing in the owners manual for the M10, M11 which says to turn it in to increase the velocity. I will have to wait for the weekend to take it out of the stock to try adjust it. I will let you know the results.

Got the bolt stuck somehow. Any advice on disassembly to get the mag out and bolt unjammed?
@bigdansairguns832 жыл бұрын
Hey Readuck! Sounds like a pellet may have fallen back into the action/trigger mechanism. Remove the stock and then remove the trigger guard by taking out the grub screws. After this you'll see two more grub screws that lock the trigger mechanism in place. Take those out and I'm willing to bet you'll see a mulched up pellet on the trigger sear. Once this has been removed simply screw is back together again. Thanks Readuck and I hope this helps.

@@bigdansairguns83 Hey Dan, I tried that and there was no blockage in the bolt mechanism. I feel like the issue is with the magasine feeding system being jammed or somewhere in the barrel part of the gun. Is there any other part that you know of that I could dissemble? Do you have an email I send a picture of so that its more clear? Regards

Hi Jenna! It is matey, to my eyes the MX1 seems to be based on the PR900 platform whereas the M25 is based off of the M11/M22. The M25 is basically the MX1's bigger fatter cousin. Thanks Jenna!
