Snowplowing at Finse

I was captivated by the technique the snowplow used to clear the roads at Finse. It’s impressive how they maneuver through such heavy snow and keep the roadways clear. But I also wonder about the challenges they face with potential avalanches or snowdrifts. How do they assess the risks before starting their work? It seems like there’s so much more to snowplowing than just driving a truck! Would love to hear from any professionals in the field about the most challenging aspects of their job.

Do native Scandinavians have any vision adaptations so that they are not as susceptible to snow blindness..... or do they just squint a lot?
