Wow!!! What you have sent me is an absolute visual treat and I will love the time it will take me to see it all. I used to travel a lot but about 2 years ago I had a minor stomach ailment and an exploratory operation showed very early and very deadly pancreatic cancer. I was blessed that they caught it so early but it has taken me two years to regain my health (am in total remission currently) and I am somewhat confined to staying close to home for now. Your amazing videos are almost as good as being there and they are a lot easier than attempting to be there currently. Again thank you for all of your responses. My grandpa was from Trondheim in the late 1800's and I really can't wait to see that part of the world in person. KH

Finally arrived in Bodo after watching this captivating film. I was almost sad when it ended! I enjoyed the scenery immensely and hope I can make it to Norge some day to REALLY experience it. Good job! If you make films like this in the future, could you show the name of the location when the train makes a stop (i.e. Fauske)? It was impossible (not your fault, of course) to see the station signs. I ask as I was following along the train route using Google Earth and many of the stops were almost impossible to identify. Also: along the route there were many poles, with an "X" on them with what looked like signals that have been turned sideways (one example is at 6:36:14 ). Are these decommissioned railway signals?

Responsive idea as i learn a lot in norway i got quite thrills when i see your video. i wish i could get my dreams...
"О старом, о странном, о безбольном, О вечном слагалось его нытье, Звучало мне звоном колокольным, Ввергало в истому, в забытье. Мы видели горы, лес и воды, Мы спали в кибитках чужих равнин, Порою казалось - идем мы годы, Казалось порою - лишь день один."
@kenhansen57509 жыл бұрын
Just wanted to emphasize that I wasn't concerned about the gloomy aspect of the views. I was concerned that a ton of this video was shot at the wrong exposure and that greatly defines the color and quality of the landscape and its surroundings. Again if you will note when the train comes out of a tunnel at first it is graphically overexposed and then it is correctly exposed showing a beautiful rendering of the landscape. But then the lens closes down once again not allowing enough light to get in and rendering the surroundings dull and dead looking. Norway is a gorgeous country and when someone videos it correctly these cab ride videos will be a wonder to behold. But again, thank you for your efforts thus far. They are appreciated!!!

@kenhansen575010 жыл бұрын
A lovely ride but if a company is going to create this type of extensive tape you would think they would take production values into consideration. For example the entire summer tape journey is way under exposed. Check out the correct exposure coming out of each tunnel and see the much, much higher quality of image for a brief few seconds. Again a great attempt but this outfit needs a professional videographer on board. If there was such that person did not do his job very well.
@Steff2929again10 жыл бұрын
Exiting tunnels is a well known issue and I agree that it could have been handled better. But I guess that most viewers in the main target groups won't notice that type of details. Railway-buffs focus solely on the rail traffic aspects, while general Slow-TV fans just want to relax. It is a bit dark, that's true, but it still feels quite realistic and familiar. I was able to guess the date without reading the description. That dull, greyish light is typical for the pre-autumn season. And while the nights still are short, you will get long periods of subtle twilight during mornings and evenings. The weather isn't exactly great for filming either. Overcast and showers gives rapidly shifting light conditions. You can either compensate for it, or just leave it as it is. It depends on your resources, and on what kind of result you want.

In any event keep up the nice work and it is really most appreciated.
