You could not be more wrong. The game does not tell you to use a certain vehicle. It does not tell you where to find The scout 800 does not show on the map and i can continue with The examples . I think one major advice in connection to the scouting, is that after having been to all the watchtowers, then as first jobs, get the roads fixed, bridges build. That makes everything thing after so much more enjoyable. Just MHO.

I have never once had a problem with the chevy as a scout. Never got it into a situation where I was absolutely screwed.

Nice video dude, so another tip I have is use the trailer stores as gas stations, simply purchase a fuel trailer, refuel from that and then sell back again, useful when fuel is limited

One very important tip regarding the carrying of cargo. The weight of a cargo type that you're carrying can have a significant impact on your vehicle if you choose the option to pack that cargo. That's why it's better to travel around with the cargo unpacked, cause it has very little impact on the truck's speed and mobility. If you buy the sideboard bed addon for your truck, the cargo will not fall off your truck unless you tip over of course.

Avoid as much of the deeper mud as much as possible. Even without mud tires, you can still slog your way through most mild basic mud if you utilize the lower gears. Push through as much as you can until you can reach a point to pull yourself farther ahead with your winch.

A good way of trivializing the first region and getting the xp needed to get to mud tires is by selling the shitty GMC you are given during the tutorial, the fleetstar that is parked outside of the garage and the chevy kodiak c70 that is available for free in the swamp near the drilling site, and then buying the International Paystar 5070. It's cheap, available at rank 1, comes with an upgraded engine that gives it A+ power to weight ratio, comes with AWD and Diff Locks unlocked, has all-terrain tires with good rating on mud and excellent rating on off-road unlocked and is very fuel efficient for its weight. It's hands down the best starting truck until you can actually upgrade other trucks and far outranks the three other trucks that are available to you starting off, especially the GMC and the Kodiak.

The TUZ is amazing, can be found in Taymyir Russia, gotta fix it up and tow it to the service hub. But it's a fantastic scout after customization. But I also agree with the comment above, the Chevy is better, more reliable, especially after installing the Autonomous wench.

I apologize if this info is widely known... I just accidentally discovered that (LB+A for Xbox One and L1+X for PS4 I think. I’m not sure what it is for PC) will turn engine on and off without having to go into the functions menu to turn engine on and off. Hope this helps.

#11 If you need a new truck just check Russia. It has so much very good of offroad trucks in lower levels too. And they are cheap. But most of the Russian trucks are thirsty and the turning radius is not the best. But for hard and rough terrain is very good. You can bring easily to Michigan (go to the global map, choose Russia, choose in the map your garage, buy your truck, store it and then go back to Michigan. After that in an empty garage slot choose "Trucks" menu and choose your Russian truck and you ready to go. And sorry for my English.

I've haven't seen that bug. Most of the times, the main reason I have seen cargo being unrecognized is because it became unsecured at some point during your travels. Either you manually loaded your cargo and then forgot to hit the "pack cargo" option. Or at some point, your vehicle almost tipped over and it caused the cargo to become unsecured. To overcome this "bug"...just make sure you pack the cargo under the function options if you manually load the cargo and if you reach a destination and it doesn't want to recognize; then back up out of the delivery area and make sure you cargo is packed. If it is, unpack it and then repack it. Like seriously. I've seen people complaining soo much in videos about the game being broken and bugged and a lot of the issues they are having is stimming from not double checking to ensure their cargo is packed when they arrive at a delivery or if they have to "recover" your vehicle.

I now have realized many things I complained about or attributed to bugs/glitches were more often than not user errors (operator error OE). So I agree. Have to pay close attention when playing SnowRunner, it is complex and intricate and I adore the Game. I'm changing the comment above.

@@johnnywaffles2482 Over 500 hours in actually. Yes I am currently working on Alaska Logging missions, which are brutal. I will be moving on to the DLCs here soon, I've absorbed just about all the game has to offer. It's addictive. I got my 'Black Shuck' trophy a month or so ago, which is awarded after you have driven over 1,000 KM in the game, that's a lot of driving 😆.

I actually disagree with #3 the CK 1500 ist way better than the Scout 800 the only caveat is that you have to find the difflock upgrade, suspension raise, and need a High Level in order to unlock a big roofrack. even tho the 800 comes with a large roofrack right away it is to prone to tip on any minor obstacle you come across while the CK1500 is very stable. i actually managed to scout out the entire first region and unlock the p16 with it while pulling a Fuel Trailer behind me. Apart from that a very nice list keep up the good work ps: There we go.... The gameplay footage in #4 actually proves my point!

Instead of selling the chevy, go get the free chevy kodiak that's parked in a bog next to the drilling site and sell that. The chevy becomes a really good scout if you get all the upgrades in Black River, and you're gonna want to use it to rescue the hummer in Alaska or the Tatarin in Taymyr.

Just got this game yesterday and found myself struggling to figure out what to do to complete the first bridge mission. I had to watch a video to understand what to do. Any tips on what order to complete objectives in each mission?

Watchtowers first, then bridges/road blocks, then move on to regular missions. Save logging missions for last as they are the most tricky to complete. Michigan, Russia, then Alaska, the game was designed to be played through in that order, Although It is never specifically mentioned or instructed. Order is key. Hope this helps

The scout 800 is worse than the CK1500 in my opinion. If you can, you should probably get the Khan 317 Sentinel. I've never had a problem with it, and it doesn't have entirely awfull fuel economy.

As soon as you find the Kodiak with the fleetstar sell them both and the rear wheel drive truck and buy the paystar. Don't waste your time with the fleetstar. And sell trailers you find for extra cash.

@@Schmevel yeah mate use the cargo on them and sell them off. When you need a trailer for a contract etc buy what you need use it then sell it again. The beauty of this game is the sale price is the same amount what you pay to buy it. You never lose out and rather than having all these unused trailers strewn around the map you have money for upgrades etc.

Don't bother with the scout 800. It's one of the worst scouts in the game, the suspension is terribly stiff so the truck bounces around on even slightly uneven terrain and is extremely prone to tipping and flipping. The roof rack only makes things worse by making the truck top heavy. The upgrades you get for the chevy by exploring the first area of the game make it a miles better scout than the 800. And if you really want to replace it, travel to Russia and buy the Khan Sentinel. Otherwise, rescue the scout only for collection and selling purposes.

Correct me if I am wrong...but to me, it sounds like you are saying that you don't have any tips yourself and came here for tips to learn...but then say these tips are bad. If you don't have any tips personally to go from, then how do you know if these are bad tips or not? I just started playing last week and I found most of these tips to be rather helpful for new players.
